This bedroom has a shared bathroom, and the rear Master Bedroom has a private bathroom. We have two rooms to rent within a quiet community near an elementary school and park, a community college called College of the Desert, and the Palm Desert Campus of California State University.
The main bedroom has a private bathroom with a queen air mattress, and the second room in the middle has a shared bathroom with a queen air mattress. The middle room has a large window with wooden blinds and a view of the patio, surrounded by greenery and orange and grapefruit trees. It’s within a community that has two pools and a tennis court.
Only one person in the front office is my son, who assists me as a co-host. I have a second home and periodically come to the property during the high season to assist my son.
My son assists me in monitoring supplies at the house, such as cleaning & assisting the guest when needed.
The renter must sign to comply with our community’s rules to prevent large parties and destruction at the two pools, tennis courts, and surrounding areas outside and inside our property.
This bedroom is $1200 per month due to sharing the bathroom. The renter has only access to the garage for washing and drying clothes, not parking the car or storage. The community inside has plenty of parking stalls or you can park on the streets outside of the gated community. Unless approved, no storage in the garage is required to pay a fee based on the size and available space or recommend neighboring storage units. The utilities can get challenging, as we have included the washer and dryer as available for use. The washing machine & dryer is not to wash others’ clothes or for a business or profit making. It is only for the tenants themselves. If the utilities are increased due to excessive usage, the renter must agree to the portion increase.
We are renting short-term on Airbnb only in April. Effectively, on May 1, 2024, we rent each bedroom for a minimum of one month up to six months, twelve months, or even 24 months.
The room near the front door has a small office/bedroom area. The primary resident assistant manager/maintenance person lives there to keep up with the property, and he will handle any needed repairs. The property advertises two bedrooms, but it has three bedrooms.
He comes in and out during the day.
