Anyway, here’s the details:
Greetings Possible Future Roomie:
My name is Manny Manuel (age 63) of Hampton, VA. I’m retired from the USAF - Langley AFB, VA and government contractor field. I am the homeowner. Now, I own and operate a tropical plant business on the property, called: Aloha Gardens LLC (www.alohagardens.org).
Upstairs Lrg Bedroom (BR) #2 is available now (8 Jan 2024). BR#2 is on the second floor. This is the larger of the two bedrooms on the 2nd floor.
Both upstairs bedrooms share a common bathroom. Each bedroom is furnished and has its own medium size refrigerator, twin size bed, wall mounted mirror, dresser drawer, TV, closet, and desk.
There would be three of us (including you) living in the house.
The large family room towards the back of the house is where I sleep, this is bedroom #4. I’m in the process of converting the large family room into a private bedroom with a private bath.
We share the common areas: kitchen, washer & dryer, formal living room, and dining areas. There’s plenty of HOT water.
The house is located in Hampton, VA: 15 mins from JBE Langley AFB & NN Shipyard; 30 mins from Norfolk Naval Station, Suffolk or Williamsburg areas; or 45 mins from Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, or Smithfield areas.

There is a $36 Application/Background Check Fee. Non-Refundable. If the application is APPROVED, then we can proceed.
There is a $300 Security Deposit upon signing for the “Room for Rent Agreement.”
Upon exit, $100 will be retained for detailed cleaning – this is automatic. The remaining $200 will be returned to the “Exiting Housemate” within 10 business days of official exit. The “Housemate Exit Checklist” will be conducted to ensure all property within the responsibility of the housemate is accounted for and is in operational condition.
The new housemate agrees to stay for a minimum of three (3) Months. If the housemate decides to vacate in less than the three months stay, then the housemate forfeits the complete $300 security deposit. Therefore, vacating prior to the three (3) month minimum stay will then forfeit the security deposit, making it non-refundable.
