I'm a 27 year old male, professional I usually work 6 days a week extended hours, I'm outgoing and like to stay active. There is a pool in the complex and a washer and dryer in the basement (coin operated) I have pretty much everything you would ever need in the kitchen and living room. I am very new to the kc area I moved here from the east coast in January the room is for rent because one of my friends was supposed to move out here next month but backed out.
It’s a great place with a nice tree’d yard. There are 3 people living here. 2 adult women with 1 moving out in Jan and 1 14 year old boy. There is an adult dog and a cat. Central air, room for storage within reason, and shared laundry. The house is on a dead-end street and it is very quiet and peaceful. The rental expectation will be 1 year.
Looking for a female roommate for 6 months only. Great downtown location. No pets. This is a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment. You would have your own bedroom/bathroom. Must be a tidy person. The bathroom is decorated. However, I could remove it if you wanted. The bedroom is not furnished. Everything else in the apartment is furnished.
Ideal for someone new to KC. Lease expires end of February, looking to sublet spare bedroom for duration of lease. Landlords cool and you could take over with your own lease March 1, 2019. Love living here moving out of town in March! Super close to downtown, midtown and right next to Crown Center. Great porch, all hardwood floors, gas stove, dishwasher, washer dryer in unit, and google fiber. It is currently fully furnished minus your room would be cleared out. You'd have your own walk in closet. Ideal roommate would be a working professional, non party person (at least via the weekdays) smoking on deck is cool, must love dogs (no new pets allowed per lease). I'm pretty laid back mostly vegan but my body my choice, soap does its job. If your veg that's cool if not also cool, do you. I'm big on a clean kitchen, love to cook. Other than that message me if you'd like to Skype or set up a time to see if we'd live well together.
We are a young, professional married couple looking for a roommate for our spare room. We are gone most days from 8-5, but around on the weekends quite often. The apartment is in a great location as it is right by the crossroads, 5 minutes to downtown KC, and 7 minutes to Westport. Martini corner is right around the corner as well. There is free parking in the parking garage under the building.

I'm looking for a roommate to share a good-sized two-bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment about 3 blocks from the very center of Westport in Kansas City, Missouri, for roughly $550 per month (maybe less each month), utilities and all. Someone who will want to stay for the long-term. Someone that understands that they can just walk a few blocks to party, eat, and shop. This apartment will be their home to escape to afterwards. Someone who is clean (a few dishes in the sink, or a few personal belongings left out sometimes is alright, just don't trash the place), respectful, relatively quiet (you can have the TV on while I'm asleep, just don't blast music), has no pets, and doesn't do anything that would make the apartment smell bad for a long time, like smoking in it. Sound interesting so far? Then read on. Please read this whole ad before responding. It will save us both a lot of time NOT emailing back and forth asking and answering questions that have already been answered in the ad. If you do respond, please send enough general info about yourself so that I don't have to keep emailing YOU asking questions. Also, don't contact me asking if the place is still available. If it wasn't, I would have removed this ad. The $550 rental price is an estimate of what it will cost each month, utilities and all. It may actually usually be less each month, depending on electric power usage, and what sort of Internet setup we have. I've done a roommate situation ever since I've been in Kansas City, which is 24 years. I'm very used to having a roommate. However, it's tough finding people with a room to rent around Westport anymore, because so many people would like to live in this area. But I now have a two bedroom, one bath apartment right in Westport, and now I'm the one with the room to rent, instead of the opposite. This apartment sits about 1500 ft. from the intersection of Westport Road and Pennsylvania Avenue, which is the very center of Westport. The Public Library and Post Office are less than a block away, a 24-hour Walgreens is about two blocks away (with a pharmacist always on duty), a large 24-hour grocery store is about 5 blocks away, and of course, all the restaurants, bars, and shops are right within walking distance. Where this place sits, other buildings and houses block all the late night noise from Westport, so you'll have a quiet place to come home to, even on weekend nights. The whole apartment is roughly 1000 square feet. The bedroom is 12 ft by 14 ft., with a 6-ft. closet. Unfurnished. The bedrooms are carpeted, while the rest of the apartment is faux hardwood. Ceiling fans are in the bedrooms. The bathroom is a standard bathroom, like you would expect to find in a standard apartment. It does have an exhaust fan in the ceiling. The living room is roughly 380 sq. ft. There is a ceiling fan in the living room. The kitchen has a garbage disposal. Stove/oven is electric. There is an exhaust fan and hood over the stove. The place was built sometime in the 1960s. From what I understand, it's also been fairly recently renovated. The apartment has no windows facing to the west, so we won't have problems with the afternoon sun making the place get too hot in the summer, or with the wind that always seems to want to blow out of the west in Kansas City, making the place get too cold in the winter. There is an uncovered parking lot behind the place, and it's first-come first-serve. There's also plenty of street parking. Even on weekend nights when Westport is really busy, there is still enough street parking to go around. The only time I can see parking being a problem is when there's some sort of big street event in Westport, such as the Westport Art Fair or something. The place is Google Fiber ready. I don't watch TV myself, so all I will be using is basic Internet. If you think you need Netflix and/or other things that might require more Internet bandwidth, we can figure that out if and when we meet up to talk about the place. The heat is electric heat, but it's a heat pump, not that awful baseboard heating, so it won't be terribly expensive. Nothing in the apartment is gas, so we won't be dealing with the gas company. I've already spoken with the electric company as to what the electric bill normally runs in this place. Because I have always rented from someone who already had a room, I've never purchased any living room furniture, just furniture for my own bedroom. Thus, the living room is wide open for you to put in whatever you would like. Please understand that I am not simply looking for someone with a bunch of living room furniture to move in, just so I can use it for myself or for any guests. I'm also not very particular about decorating, so you can decorate the living room however you'd like also. Pets will not be allowed, as per the lease. Things like goldfish would probably be okay. Furry pets really don't belong in apartments anyway. They need to have outside space where they can run around and, well, be animals. Keeping them cooped up in an apartment is not a good thing. Some apartment complexes don't even allow furry pets for that reason. Besides, I have found that most pet owners cannot seem to see or smell anything gross that their pets do. And I personally have had just about enough of cats throwing up all the time, dogs licking everything, and both of them getting fur all over everything and tearing things up. There are coin-operated washers and dryers in the building, but not in the unit. There is also a big laundromat eight blocks away, and two smaller ones six blocks away. Here's the part about me, and what I would be looking for in a roommate: First of all, I'm looking for a ROOMMATE. That is, a roommate by the standard dictionary definition (NOT the Urban Dictionary definitions, please look at those definitions to see what I mean), and not something else as well. I'm a male in my late 40s. But all ages, genders, sexual orientations, and ethnicities of prospective roommates will be considered. I would prefer that any roommate I have be able to speak English, because communication between roommates is always important, and English is the only language I know well. I also realize that a prospective roommate may very well be younger than myself, but you won't have to worry about me being an annoying old man who will tell you how to live. I simply do not like living by myself, which is why I would like to have a roommate. But I think two people in any one apartment unit is enough. I am looking for someone who wants to rent for the long-term, not someone who just needs a place for a short amount of time. However, if someone came along who showed interest in staying in this apartment for a block of a few years (such as a college student), I could probably work with that. Normal noise in the apartment won't wake me while I'm sleeping. I'm hard to wake up. Blaring music probably would wake me, however. Whenever I listen to music, and other people are sleeping or trying to concentrate on something, I will be using headphones. I work an evening job Mon.-Fri., usually getting home around 1am. Which means I'll be in the apartment awake and moving around during part of the night. But I'm very quiet. You may not notice that I'm even home then, unless you actually see me. I don't watch TV very much, and I'm not into computer games. I read and work on the computer a lot in my spare time. I am a smoker (I'd like to quit), but I refuse to smoke indoors. When I exhale the smoke, I want it to go away, not into my clothes or other belongings. No smoking in the apartment. If you smoke, just step outside, like I do. As for 420, there's really no such thing as a "420 friendly" apartment, unless you own the place, or are renting from someone who is 420 friendly and owns the place. I do not own the place. Landlords and/or property managers can have you booted out in the street almost immediately for doing anything with drugs in a rental property, per Missouri State law. The lease doesn't allow drugs, of course. Plus, many 420 people don't seem to realize that that stuff makes apartments smell like a skunk. I personally don't have objections to somebody's occasional 420 use, but you'll have to take it elsewhere. Across the street, or whatever works. I'm not certain that I am even capable of getting "crazy" when drinking alcohol anymore. I'm just too mellow when I drink. To the point that some people can't even tell when I'm actually drunk. So you won't have to worry about having some falling-down, stupid puking drunk guy on your hands, ever. I don't scrutinize on other people's love mates, hookups, etc. If they're happy together, than I'm happy. I expect the same courtesy from roommates. Also, I am someone who is very, very understanding about people lovemaking (probably more so than most people) and thus, I won't ask my roommate to leave if I'm with someone in the bedroom, and I don't want them asking me to leave if they are doing the same, either. I really don't want to come home late at night, very tired, only to have someone tell me that I should stay out for the next 3 hours or so, so that they can "entertain a guest". Just pursue your love life to the fullest, and don't mind me! And that means men and women both. It's just part of life, and I think the "sock on the doorknob" bit, or something similar, is just plain ignorant. I don't have food preferences. You can cook and eat whatever you would like. I will say though that I'm hoping that a new roommate won't be the type who fries most of their food in deep oil or grease, because then the apartment will smell like, well, rancid grease. I have no criminal record or any criminal activity of any sort. If this living situation sounds good to you, please contact me.
12 minute drive to UMKC and located by Southwest Boulevard. It’s a KU Med area townhouse that has a large living room and a slider off dining area for outdoor relaxation. Washer and dryer included and it’s fully furnished.
Private Bedroom with Shared bathroom in a house about a 10-15 minute walk from the University of Kansas medical center campus and 39th Street district. Safe neighborhood with 3 male roommates. Laundry in the house; Google fiber internet and cable (not included in rent).
Cute house near midtown Kansas City. Near a park with walking track. Liberal minded college student, in early 20’s. Fun outgoing, Loves animals and nature, Loves working out. Likes to occasionally go out with friends. Small gatherings at the house with friends from time to time. Clean and organized.
Looking to rent a house with another young professional under 35 on the Kansas side near the plaza. I am 27 and bartend. Also a student at KU. Looking for guys who are responsible and chill and outgoing. I’m a pretty layed back dude and I’d like to be able to get along with you.
Quiet neighborhood with a really peaceful backyard. This place is for you if you're on a fixed income or are safety conscious. I need a roommate to be paired with 60 year old disabled male currently occupying 2 out of 3 bedrooms. He is quiet and stays in his room 99% of the time. House is 1260 square feet. House is all 1 level and has a really nice backyard with screened in porch.
1.6 miles from UMKC My roommate Cristall Clanton and I are looking for a third roommate for our 3 bedroom 3 bathroom 2 story house with 2 car garage, full size basement, and fenced in backyard! $966 for rent, heat, water, electric, landlord takes care of year round yard work, snow, any maintenance, attached 2 car garage. $10 uber to westport or power & light, perfect location! Move in December 1st!!
The house is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, so roommates will NOT have to share a bathroom. Your bedroom has wood flooring, 2 large windows that look out over the side and backyard, and can comfortably fit a queen bed, dresser, and side table. The kitchen has brand new black stainless steel appliances and is fully furnished. The living room looks out over a field and is also fully furnished. There is a reading and craft room, and a large backyard that has an awesome octagon shaped porch. I will be your roommate. I am a preschool teacher at a Montessori based school. I work long hours, so I usually socialize most on weekends. The most important thing for me is that we both feel at home, so we are comfortable sometimes cooking together or hanging out in the living room. I don't want either of us to feel the need to hide out in our room if the other person is already in a room. Utilities will be split. We do have the availability of Google Fiber at the house, so we can decide if both of us would like to get that. This is a house. I was not comfortable giving my real address, so I gave an apartment complex address nearby. If our in-person interview at a coffee shop goes well, I can give you my address to go see the house in person.
