About the room
A bright, comfortable room is available on the main level of a well-kept home in the Village of Five Parks in Arvada — everything you’d use day to day is on one level, no stairs to climb. You’d have a private bedroom with your own full bathroom, plus full use of the shared common areas: living room, kitchen, laundry and mudroom, the backyard, and garage access. The home is owned by a local professor who lives upstairs with his daughter, with a long-term, considerate tenant on the lower level and a gentle, well-loved basset hound rounding out the household. It’s a quiet, respectful, drama-free place that’s easy to settle into. The Village of Five Parks is one of Arvada’s nicest neighborhoods: restaurants and shops within walking distance, a 24-hour fitness center, an outdoor community pool, and summer concerts at the amphitheater. Bike trails and hiking are close by, the mountains and ski country are an easy drive west, and there’s quick access to Denver, Boulder, and Golden. Ideal for a calm, respectful, responsible renter who’ll enjoy a quiet home and an active, walkable community.
About the roomies
I’m the homeowner — a college professor — and I live upstairs along with my daughter. I keep a calm, tidy home and stay fairly busy with work, but outside of it I keep bees and get out to camp, ski, and fish whenever I can — an outdoors person at heart who also values some quiet downtime. The household runs quiet and low-key, and I’m easygoing, respectful of people’s space and privacy, and happy to chat when you’re up for it. There’s also a long-term tenant - semi-retired nurse - on the lower level who’s considerate and keeps to themselves, so you’d rarely cross paths unless you wanted to. And rounding out the house is our basset hound — gentle, affectionate, and endlessly chill. He’s the friendliest member of the household. It’s a respectful, drama-free home where everyone values quiet, cleanliness, and their own space, while still being warm and neighborly when paths cross.
