Are you looking for a quaint place to stay in the Driftless area? Well this is it! $35/NIGHT
When it comes to location, this small cabin is perfectly situated! Just up the hill from the Great Mississippi River and Pool 9 boat launch. In a coolie (valley) filled with wildlife. Wake up in the mist, go to bed under a blanket of stars you won’t see in the city!
A short drive to Blackhawk Park where you can fish, birdwatch, walk the backwater loop, or launch your boat.
Take the ferry over to Lansing Iowa and enjoy Coffee on the River, a charming historical building with great bakery. Head up to Mt Hosmer for a thrilling view of 3 states that overlook the Great Mississippi!
Half an hour south of LaCrosse, forty minutes to Prairie Du Chien, right off hwy 35, the Great River Rd.
My dry cabin with clean porta potty has a very comfortable bed, a refrigerator, gas stove, kitchen items, 10 gallons of potable water, a Smart TV, and pretty much everything you need for a comfortable stay.
This cabin is 70 years old, so there’s some Japanese beetles that get in, and a mouse here and there. Vacuum provided lol. It smells a bit musty but it airs out quickly once you open the doors. I have had many guests over the years, it is not fancy but it is a nice place for anyone wanting a step up from camping.
This cabin is not big enough for families. One or two people only. No parties, no smoking. Quiet respectful folk only.
I made it reasonably priced because it’s a dry cabin, that is, no shower, toilet, or running water. The porta potty is 20 feet from the door. Fishermen or women, there’s no place to turn around here with a boat. There’s parking in the grass for one vehicle.
