This property has character and is a very livable and appealing space. It is filled with natural light. Very functional and quality shared spaces: kitchen, bathroom, living room, office. No pets live in the home.
The bathroom is shared by all tenants. It is a clean and tidy space designed for efficiency. There is room for your personal care products (within reason) and to hang a towel. The bathroom has a nice sink, vanity, mirror, shower/tub with sliding glass doors, toilet, closet, trash bin, shower fan, and an obscure window for natural light.
The kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave, gas stove and hood, fridge, dishwasher, pot filler, large marble island, sink and oversized basin, drying rack, toaster oven, mixer, and all the necessary cooking implements.
The living room has a large, flat-screen TV, media streaming systems, coffee table, couch, and other furnishings.
The office space has two desks, computers, and monitors and a printer.
Your rent includes a private bedroom and access to all shared spaces. All utility charges and property fees are included in base rent. Rent is contracted on a month-by-month basis. The landlord reserves the right to cancel renewal on a two-week notice. Rent is due the first of each month, payable by check. A safety deposit equal to one month’s rent is required upon move-in. The deposit is refundable, subject to contingencies.
Amenities include two-zone, forced-air heating and cooling, driveway and potentially garage parking, backyard outdoor deck, home wifi, and a washer and dryer on site.
Your bedroom is equipped with a bed, a small desk and lamp, dresser, mini fridge, TV, garbage bin, and more.
At this time, recreational drugs are prohibited on the property. This includes possession and consumption of alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis, and their derivatives. This excludes medication with a valid prescription with your name.
The street is off Enfield Street by “Smoke and Munch” and is a dead-end street. We are approximately 5 minutes from the MA border, and 5 minutes from Enfield shopping center, several grocery stores and gyms, and interstate 91. The area is known as North Thompsonville.
Note that we are near the Enfield fire department, the railroad, and under Bradley airport flight path. The sound is not often noticeable in my opinion. The neighborhood is kind.
The property owner recently passed away and left the property to his heirs, who continue to rent it.
The other tenants in the house are very respectful and courteous of one another. We communicate as needed over text and in person to manage affairs around the place.
We are not noisy and we always clean up after ourselves (with the exception of minor delays in dish cleanup). Some of us are here often throughout the week, while others are busy, away from the property. One tenant rents a room in the basement but is gone most of the time.
We do allow guests within reason as long as the host is properly responsible for their guests and proactive in informing the other tenants. We do not permit extended stays of guests. We have a zero-tolerance policy for guests that disrespect tenants or property.
We share the responsibility of cleaning the property, including the bathroom, the floors, and the countertops. We share the responsibility of yard maintenance. However, rent may be structured to avoid these responsibilities (but that is not an invitation to be sloppy).
