New Offgrid RV; can travel; colleges, and lakes near by
Quick update as of 9-30-2025
Within the past few days I have found out that I can travel more without the requirement to be back on my land within so many days to keep my income. Location I must have as my primary residence is wherever my camper is. And other small changes that need to be made but they could take me a week or two. The most of both listings is still correct, so I am posting this and will get both my listings updated as soon as possible. If I messaged you on or after 9-30-2025 then the details in it that are different are already corrected thank you and please message me and/or check back every few days as I will label the date of last update. Pets are cas by case. Hopefully I will get some pictures soon. Thank you for your time
Please read the entire listing as there are several benefits for both of us only available if we work together. It is long but worth your time since you clicked open. Please message me with any questions after reading, none are too small or babyish for me to answer and I can get super simple if I need to. I will even give you my phone number if that is how you want to talk.
First up is I will over simplify some things so everyone can truly understand me and decide if they want to join me on this learning adventure. If you’re a student you can get a bonus education(s) in the form of life skills just by showing an interest in the project I am working on at the time.
<NOTE I do not currently have the camper and I am looking for someone who wants to live the RV and/or offgrid life or needs a place to live enough that it becomes good for them to help me get the camper. Some utilities are included provided you don’t need to travel. The dollar amounts listed are negotiable as I have to follow some special rules to get to keep my income. What type and how much help you provide up front will determine your costs and other potential benefits, how long you stay, how and when you pay. Also when we start messaging and decide it will work will change the date it becomes available. So for me the sooner the better but I also want us to be a good match. If you’re a great match I might even decide to extend how long you can stay indefinitely. If you’re nearby we likely can and should go look at one with a similar floor plan most days during the week at a local dealership. If you’re looking to travel soon for work or otherwise you will also need a 3/4 or 1 ton truck to pull it with as I don’t have one but I have already made arrangements to get the camper delivered just waiting on pickup location and date.>
The room I am listing will be in a shared new camper (as in we will be the first people to stay in it). It is already set up to be offgrid using solar and propane. It is all 12vdc (battery with solar charging that I add <battery and solar is not always included but I already have them along with a large inverter> so we’re good there) and/or propane except for the air conditioner and microwave. Yes we will have lights, heat, air conditioner, and other electrical items at night as needed. So we will be mostly offgrid except for water (220/240vac well pump) and if you must have air conditioner (I tend to stay cold, even in the summer, but can wear winter clothes indoors if you need it to be cooler, just not cold enough for our pipes and tanks to freeze), microwave, or other high current 110/120vac appliances and/or devices. Of course things we have like computers, coffee pot, crock pot, some fans, ect. could mean we have to be plugged into the electric panel but I have a inverter to cover small usage and power outages (rare but do happen and most places don’t have a back up electric source, I have solar and if needed a generator, as well as my truck) I don’t plan to plug in to the electric supplier often if ever, so our electric bill should stay low ($50 range), and it includes the water (well pump) till we can get the pump offgrid as well. This camper has a bunk house (2 bunk beds) with a curtain that is otherwise open to the kitchen and living room area with a master bedroom with a door (we’ll decide your room later), and a shared small bathroom (shower only no tub but I can fix a plastic tote box with a drain if you want as a tub). Bathroom has inside and outside doors, but I will knock loudly if I think you might be in there so you will have your privacy. We will also have a large propane tank so gas will be much cheaper than if using the 15/20 pound bottles when at home. Cook stove is gas but I’m okay getting a hot plate if you need it, probably will anyway as I like having backups to my backups. Currently no washer and dryer but I do have a ringer washer that just needs a new motor and plan to get one that is 12vdc if I can find one that fits, if not then a 110/120vac as I did replace it several years ago, getting one shouldn’t be a problem. As for a dryer that will be a clothes line outside and drying rack I already have inside. I’m not posting pictures or make and model of the camper as I am unsure of the rules and copyright issues but I am more than happy to share more details on it and my plans with those who are somewhat interested in joining me though messages.
There is a water well (no city water) and a small garden area. The property (land-we will likely be in one place most of the time) is located in the woods about 1 mile down a dirt road, the rest of the roads are some level of pavement. It is about 12 miles to the nearest town with a k-12 school, bus will come to address if needed, and some fast food; nearly 20 miles to a small city that has real shopping, gym, pool, movie theater, and true sit down restaurants; and about 45-50 miles to the bigger cities. There are several colleges/trade schools in the 50 mile range and at least one that I’m almost sure is within 75 miles (my map app is not accurate today). A large lake, several other smaller lakes and a river all with public access (boating, camping, fishing, and swimming), lots of bike/hiking trails, and parks nearby, one has several springs open to the public. Sorry but there’s no water front or water view. Good lake access with a park, boating, camping, fishing, and swimming is probably 6-8 miles away by road and a few boat ramps only a bit closer. I have plenty of fishing gear and will gladly take and let you use my gear if you get your license or happen to be someone who doesn’t need one, just ask. If you want to boat you will need your own or to rent one as I don’t have one but do have parking for one as well as for two other vehicles. Another big attraction for those not familiar with the area is the JFK Overlook & Memorial and Greers Ferry Dam at Heber Springs, AR 72543
