BACKSTORY: I recently purchased this house but have not moved in yet. I am staying here intermittently while working on it but since my job and current home are still in Phoenix until I sell my condos there, I have been spending much of my time away over there working. Thus, there is still a lot to do at this house all the brand new furniture is in their original shipping boxes in each room waiting to be set up and there is no decor (much of which will come from the sales of my condos in Phoenix). We have been slowly getting set up and tending to maintenance, repairs and upgrades that come with a big house, but starting the second week of May we will have a lot more time to work more consistently and hope to have it in picture-perfect shape this summer. Therefore the previous interior photos we had posted (from the house listing from previous owners) have been removed as despite the explanation in the listing many assumed they depicted the current furniture and status. We are now posting exterior front, back and aerial drone photos only, along with a floor plan. If it is important for you to see the rooms we can send a copy with the previous furnishings and dimensions, and/or a picture of what the new furniture will look like once set up, but again as of now all rooms have boxes of furniture and equipment waiting to be opened and set up (any furnished room paid for will be set up upon move-in). We are posting the listing now however in several paid roommate services and unpaid social media sites offering those interested two alternative options:
Take 40% off the posted rental rate in exchange for helping get the place set up if you have time and/or need to move in soon to get first pick on this ideal home and neighborhood, or…
Wait until the majority of the basics are done (boxes cleared out and furniture set up in each room and backyard) and new photos are posted later this summer then pay the full listed price for any room(s) if still available by then.
Recently purchased big two-story house w/pool and spacious backyard. I’m not living there full time yet as I have other properties and a job in Phoenix I’m obligated to for a while longer (will be selling and moving into house hopefully later this year). House is very spacious and in a very safe upscale neighborhood notable for its palm tree-lined boulevards and several golf courses just 1-2 miles from five major supermarket chains and multiple service providers with just about every major commercial establishment (restaurants, entertainment and big box/chain stores) within 5 miles.
Close to two major freeways, it’s just a 20 min. drive to downtown/Central Phoenix and 30 min. to far East Valley, but in an exclusive and safe suburb – in fact I moved back to West Valley where I lived up until 26 years ago to be in a nicer and safer area again without paying exorbitant prices.
All are furnished with mostly brand new furniture except one which is not (starting at $800) yet but may be once I am fully moved in; in the meantime will accept those with furniture for that room only. Special temporary arrangements are possible until all is settled. Four rooms are available at different rates including a master suite, with another suite planned in the future with private bathroom and outside entrance. All prospective applicants with mutual interest upon interview must pay for and pass a background check and put down first and last month’s rent.
