Hello! Looking for a friendly, kind soul to move into the second bedroom in a nice 2bed, 1 bath 1,012sqft duplex! The lease starts June 1st but you can move in and sublet starting now. Room is optionally fully furnished already and quite spacious too.

The duplex is located in South Oakland near the Magee-Women’s Hospital. Close to the major bus lines and Schenley Park. 10 minute walk to Pitt, 5 to Carlow.

Three stories. Upstairs is bedrooms and bathroom, middle is kitchen, dining and living space, and unfinished basement has been converted into a guest bedroom/second living room and a workout area.

There is a backyard with an above ground fireplace and flowers that bloom throughout the seasons (lovely landlord takes care of those).

I like the neighborhood, it’s mostly Pitt students. Pretty quiet, not worried about package thieves at all. I’ve slept on the porch before.

I’ve got comfy ass couches and designed this place to be hospitable to tenants and guests alike. Well suited to hosting.

The duplex neighbor is very nice, he’s got a very friendly bulldog named Kirby that’s always excited to see you.

One roommate, Alex (me). I’m 25 and a PhD student at CMU in Mechanical Engineering, just finishing up my second year so I’ll be here a couple more years. Moved here from Montana! I’ve a number of hobbies and I’m kinda interested in everything! I’m very friendly, I just like people! Golden retriever in human form.

I’m pretty easy to live with. I’m tidy, I’ll cook for you, I’m quiet and helpful. Nocturnal, but very respectful of others sleep- just return the courtesy!

Keep common spaces clean, show some basic decency, and communicate any needs or grievances and we’ll be golden 👍
