This fully furnished one bedroom apartment sits on top of a detached garage and located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood in the Alexandria/Mount Vernon area. The apartment has a sliding glass door that opens out to a small deck with chairs to enjoy your morning coffee or evening beverage. Our large back yard with gazebo, fire pit, gas and charcoal grill, patio table and chairs are all available for your enjoyment. You will have a dedicated parking spot in our driveway and available street parking as well.

Neighborhood Description: Alexandria/Mount Vernon is in Fairfax County, and is said to be one of the best places to live in Northern Virginia. Living in the Mount Vernon area offers residents a sparse suburban feel and has many parks in the area. George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate is just one mile from this home. Our property sits on one of the original farmland plots owned by George Washington. You can also drive approximately 35 minutes and be right in the heart of D.C. There are many things to do in the area to include sporting events, concerts, grabbing brunch on the weekends (Old Town has many restaurants to choose from!) and of course visiting all of the historic landmarks and museums (if that is something that interests you). The proximity to Washington D.C. and Old Town Alexandria provide opportunities for fun, while the spacious and wooded landscapes nearby and around our home to give you a sense of connection to nature. (If you enjoy running/walking, George Washington’s Mount Vernon Trail is just up the road from us and winds alongside the Potomac River offering uninterrupted views of Washington, D.C.‘s skyline. The Mount Vernon Trail is an 18-mile paved multi-use trail that stretches from George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate, to Theodore Roosevelt Island.)

The beautiful outdoor living space which includes everything from a fire pit, to a gazebo with grilling options, and relaxing seating are all available for you to enjoy. Our apartment is part of a shared 0.5-acre property.
