We have 2 houses on the property that hubby built. There are 6 rooms we rent out between them, so there is often one coming available at any given time.

PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST BEFORE INQUIRING -Single occupancy only -1 of the floors (2 rooms, red and blue) are female only. -Pets: only terrarium type pets. No dogs. The red and blue rooms allow cats. -Smoking/vaping policy: There is a designated area under the apple tree at the back of the property, but we have a 0 tolerance policy for smoking or vaping indoors.
Room details: House 1: female rooms (blue and red) are on the 2nd floor with a sitting area in between. Owners’ room is on the main floor and the basement is kept for the owners’ use. Lots of common area with a large kitchen stocked with appliances and kitchen wares; also a piano and xylophone open for use. The Blue room is around 13x14 and the red about 9x14.
House 2: 2 bonus rooms upstairs and 2 normal bedrooms downstairs. Each floor has its own common areas of a kitchenette, bathroom, and living area. Upstairs tenants do not have access to the downstairs common areas and vice versa. Washer/dryer is located near the entry way with all four rooms having access to it. Upstairs bonus rooms have sloped ceilings that go from about 6ft down to 2ft, making them really only suitable for people of shorter stature, and a floor space of approximately 10x20. Downstairs rooms around 10x10 and 10x11.
There is a front, middle, and back yard with seasonal apples and raspberries. Gardeners welcome.
Location: We’re a few blocks from Lents park and a few blocks from 82nd, nicely tucked into the neighborhood. Very convenient for bus stops or max line, hopping on the freeway, or onto the main roads into downtown.
To get an idea of the environment, most of the tenants who come through are either college students finishing school or travelers (in Portland temporarily or landing here) usually around 18-27. Noone need feel obligated to socialize as most tenants are quite independent with a focus on school or early career.
About us a bit: Hubby works from home most of the time, usually doing projects to improve the property and other creative projects with audiobooks, 3d printing and laser engraving. Wify works from home for a nonprofit in Africa helping impoverished women to start their own businesses. As for free time, aside from playing board games, Netflix is probably our biggest hobby.
