About the room
Available with 2 week’s notice. Your room is huge! It has a king-sized bed, a daybed set in an alcove, tv, desk with shelves, dresser, and large L shaped corner closet. The house is cute and cozy and has a calm, happy vibe. Has been a popular Airbnb but Dallas has outlawed Airbnbs starting December. Share the house with a female roommate (Me) - large kitchen, living room, laundry area, front porch, shared bath. The house is on the hospital grid, so the power doesn’t go out! There’s a rough basement that’s available for tornado season :-)
A sweet, funny, Border Collie will be a frequent visitor. Quiet street with lots of trees, but 5 miles to Uptown, close to downtown Dallas, Bishop Arts, Methodist Dallas Medical Center, Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge, 1.5 miles to Kessler Theater and much more! According to Compass, Oak Cliff… “ The hip neighborhood is known for its indie stores, charming Bishop Arts District, exceptional dining and the Oak Cliff Nature Preserve, which offers hiking and biking trails.“
I’m pleasant, clean, sane, considerate and responsible, with a good sense of humor and would like the same in a roommate. No drugs (weed outside is fine), no parties, no drama.
Realtor will be handling leasing paperwork, background and credit check.
About the roomies
I work from home as a copywriter. I’ll be moving into the house when you do and redecorating, although some of the furniture stays. Will bring an upright piano, paintings, add bookshelves and lots of books for the living room and make it super cozy. I’m artsy, enjoy Indie music, good films, reading, fashion, photography, gardening, good conversation, learning new things, new experiences, and travel. Sociable but need my private time. Please no Trump supporters, racists, or conspiracy theorists.
