I am mid-life, very progressive, enjoy NPR weekend shows, and work as a writer, usually remotely. I’m omnivorous but tend to fish and Indian food. I care about my civil rights and liberties, about housing and tenants rights, and am fond of the existentialists and literary criticism. I have an unfinished novel on the arts and censorship and a background in photography, filmmaking, and kiln-formed glasswork.
I am allergic/hypersensitive to most scents and scented products and ask that scented products not be brought into the house. To make this easier all around, I provide good quality soaps, detergents, shampoos and any other products that might be a problem. Typically, I purchase the items that are required from Whole Foods or other more natural markets whose inventory is more selective. Best case scenario, you’re someone who prefers not to have a lot of scents in your environment anyway.
The house is in an area of Seattle that is being heavily worked by speculators and a neighborhood watch group that does not care to have tenants in single-family homes. I hope for a supportive relationship with a roommate who, like me, is aware of and cares about tenants’ rights, housing rights and other civil rights.
