I rented a room at a hostel in Maui. The house rules were that all personal belongings had to be kept in your room. The kitchen had to be left in perfect order after use all dishes cleaned and put away. Nothing but a coffee pot or toaster were allowed on the counter. Nothing in the sink. Same with the bathroom, it needs to be cleaned after use. The house was very clean and uncluttered, people were happy to count on a clean space.
