Hi. My name is Murray. I have a room available in my Catonsville house, which is located in a suburban townhouse community, close to everything and near UMBC. If you don’t know where Catonsville is, it’s just outside of Baltimore, and I hope it’s close enough to where you’re looking for you to consider.
I’m hoping to find a female roommate since I’ve always gotten along well with women, and would love to have one in the house.
While not ensuite, your bedroom and bath (to be shared with my existing housemate) are adjacent to each other, located at the end of the upstairs hallway. Pictures of both bedrooms and the bath are in this rental profile. Your bedroom has a closet. At minimum, all the room really needs is a bed or futon and a chest, as well as your personal touches. As you can see from the photo, it already has a desk/drawing table. The room is pink(ish), but you can pick a color and we’ll paint it. I’d hope that you’d keep your space clean and at least somewhat organized. Neither my roomie nor I are fans of chaos.
Also, I have three friendly kitties (named Fiona, Skittles and Rascal). My roomie has two of her own. They all have learned (or are learning) to coexist. If you have a cat, he or she is welcome to join the family. They prefer to roam the house and be social. They are indoor cats that never go outside.
If you cook, I’m assuming you’ll like the kitchen. It’s got a refrigerator, electric range, microwave, and a versatile toaster/convection oven; as well as a disposal and dishwasher. I hope you like coffee and/or tea. There’s a burr grinder and drip coffee maker. I keep about fifteen or so varieties of coffee beans, and several kinds of tea (mostly Asian). The kitchen has lots of cabinet/pantry space; and the coffee and tea each have their own cabinets.
You’ll have access to the rest of the house, too; and will have use of the TV and electronics in the living room, as well as the Internet and Wi-Fi throughout the house. There’s a powder room off of the living room and a deck off the kitchen. The rent also includes utilities, although I’d appreciate a contribution for cable TV.
The basement is basically my office and mancave. It also contains a fourth bathroom, which I think of as part of the office. There’s also a laundry room, which I sorely need to organize.
Anyway, I hope that my description has piqued your interest, and has encouraged you to at least give the place a shot; and to want to come take a look at it. I look forward to hearing back from you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Regards, Murray, Shay, and the cats.
P.S. Even if you’re not interested in my offer, please drop me a note so that I can remove you from my Shortlist. I’d appreciate that. Thanks.
