Furnished room in a calm, cozy NW Raleigh home — ideal for someone looking for a peaceful space where people coexist with mutual respect. Rent is affordable and includes all utilities and wifi.
Available April. Also ok with May or mid-April move-in date, tenant is moving out. The room is 13x10, located on the third floor, and comes furnished with a Dreamcloud bed, dresser, nightstand, desk, storage boxes, and extra linens. Rent covers internet, water, electricity, gas, sewer, trash/recycling, and in-home laundry.
$740/month plus 1 month refundable security deposit. You will still need renter’s insurance (probably 150-300/year).
The house is in a quiet neighborhood near Umstead Park, Crabtree Mall, Brier Creek, RDU, RTP, and Rex Hospital — about 20 minutes to downtown Raleigh or Durham. Grocery stores like Target, Food Lion, Publix, and Harris Teeter are nearby.
Whether you’re here for a few months or possibly longer, the space works well for someone with a steady routine who values having a stable, respectful place to come home to. The kitchen is well-stocked with cookware and food storage (including mini-fridge in addition), and you’d share a hallway bathroom with two others (plus there are extra half baths around the house). Also don’t worry about the shared bathroom, we keep the sink pretty clear, with most of our grooming supplies in the hallway closet.
Because of allergies, no pets are allowed, and the home stays smoke-free, vape-free, and drug-free. Friends are welcome to visit every now and then as long as they respect house rules.
I live downstairs and am a night shift nurse, so I keep things clean and quiet. There are four bedrooms total, so you’d be one of four roommates.
If you’re interested, we can start with a quick Zoom call to save you a trip and to give both of us a feel for whether it’s a good fit – especially since I live here and like to keep early steps low-key. If things go well, we’ll set up an in-person visit from there. There’s no pressure for the Zoom calls so you’re free to cancel if anything changes (just give me a heads-up!). Feel free to reach out with questions!
