About the room

Available early February. Master Bedroom in NW Raleigh home — ideal for someone looking for a peaceful space where people coexist with mutual respect. Rent is affordable and includes all utilities and wifi. Bathroom is private and ensuite. Tenants can & often do extend after the initial lease period. For example, one tenant rented this room for 2.5 years.

$800/month plus 1 month refundable security deposit. You will still need renter’s insurance (probably 150-300/year).

The house is in a quiet neighborhood near Umstead Park, Crabtree Mall, Brier Creek, RDU, RTP, and Rex Hospital — about 20 minutes to downtown Raleigh or Durham. Grocery stores like Target, Food Lion, Publix, and Harris Teeter are nearby.

Whether you’re here for a few months or possibly longer, the space works well for someone with a steady routine who values having a stable, respectful place to come home to. The kitchen is well-stocked with cookware and food storage (including mini-fridge in addition).

Because of allergies, no pets are allowed, and the home stays smoke-free, vape-free, and drug-free. Friends are welcome to visit every now and then as long as they respect house rules.

I live downstairs and am a night shift nurse, so I keep things clean and quiet. There are four bedrooms total, so you’d be one of four roommates.

If you’re interested, we can start with a quick Zoom call to save you a trip and to give both of us a feel for whether it’s a good fit – especially since I live here and like to keep early steps low-key. If things go well, we’ll set up an in-person visit from there. There’s no pressure for the Zoom calls so you’re free to cancel if anything changes (just give me a heads-up!). Feel free to reach out with questions!

About the roomies

Everyone in the house is on their own path, but we all respect each other’s space and keep things mellow. One roommate drives rideshare, enjoys gaming, and has a thoughtful side — he’s interested in travel and personal growth. The other just moved in (April), and works for a church and a streamer.

We’re not a “hang out all the time” type of house, but we’re also not strangers. It’s a good mix of quiet co-living with the occasional friendly chat in the kitchen. Everyone has very different schedules, so we may not run into each other often, but that also means being considerate of unconventional sleeping schedules. If you’re clean, considerate, and appreciate a stable, easygoing place to land, you’ll probably fit in well here.
