About the room
My home is a 2 bed 2 bath in a quite and friendly townhome neighborhood right across from the Zia Railrunner Station with super easy access to major roads, highway, and rail. The bedroom for rent is opposite side of the house from mine separated by an entrance area/mudroom, and has it’s own full bath just two steps outside the door. The house is single-story with fenced-in backyard and 2-car garage which I’ve finished and serves as workshop, gym, storage, and laundry area. Parking is street-side. Kitchen is galley style with modern appliances, and living spaces are large. The whole house is fully furnished including a queen size bed in the rental room which you can choose to use or bring in your own. Neighbors are friends and no noise passes through the walls despite being townhome style. An arroyo is behind the backyard which gives some good separation from the other neighborhood. The house was previously a rental, so I’m constantly doing projects here and there to improve it, but otherwise I keep everything in working order and it has no major flaws. Guaranteed availability July 1st, possibly earlier (current roommate moves out June 14th). I’m open to negotiating on many aspects of our living agreement including rent price.
NOTE: Pictures are outdated–new ones uploaded soon. Yard and house has many improvements including new flooring that makes it feel more like home!
About the roomies
My dog Linus and I will be your roomies! I’ve been told that “I have my life together” (whatever that means, haha). I’m respectful of all people who are respectful back. Definitely an extrovert but self-aware enough to be conscious of other’s space and needs. I do my best to keep my lifestyle clean and organized despite being constantly on-the-go. I work a pretty standard M-F job and have regular evening hobbies/activities. Linus is an extremely friendly 14 year old husky/lab mix who is still spry and playful, but definitely slowing down. He does well with all people and kids, other dogs, and has lived briefly with cats before too. He loves to get all the pets. The ideal roommate situation wouldn’t just be a warm body that occupies the same space with Linus and I, rather someone who may eventually be a friend also. I am open to all makes and models of people (with or without pets) including possibly couples, although this might not be the ideal situation for you space-wise. Definitely looking for a roommate who is emotionally and mentally mature, communicative, willing to work through problems if there are any, and practices taking care of their own space and things.
