Hi all! I’m looking for a roommate to fill one bedroom in this lovely 3x1 house in Cherrywood. The neighborhood is surrounded by lush nature, and within walking/biking distance, you’ll find plenty of:
-cafes, bars, and restaurants (Thunderbird, Mi Madre’s, Schoolhouse Pub, Cherrywood Coffeehouse, and all the other business that line Manor Rd) -grocery stores (HEB, Fiesta)
-greenery (Mueller Park, Patterson, Southwest Greenway)
Areas like Downtown, Windsor, Eastside are all a 5-7 min drive away.
About the property: unfortunately, no dogs/cats allowed on the lease
The exterior includes a massive front/backyard dotted with flowers and trees, a deck, treehouse, and patio swing. The house itself gets great natural lighting, has an upgraded bathroom and appliances, and an additional third room that’ll be used as a study/art studio available for both roommates’ use. (Particularly ideal if you do remote/hybrid work and could use office space)

I am in need of a new dining table; other than that, I have a full kitchen set, TV, couch, rugs, etc.
Central AC, W&D in-unit, private and street parking available.
Move-in date is flexible: as early as September 22, as late as the first week of October Rent & utilities come out to no more than $1250/person
I’m 26 years old, employed full time as a writer & researcher. I can often be found near hiking trails, antique stores, live music shows, roller rinks, karaoke nights, and local parks. Strong proponent of moderation and balance, so I equally enjoy calm days in and adventures out on the town.

-5/10 singing voice, still (occasionally) sings in the shower

-unable to reach high shelves due to height constraints

When I’m home, I enjoy putting on records while I cook, playing bass & keyboard (both with headphones so no noise), painting, reading, and mumbling to myself as I pace around in an attempt to combat writer’s block. I’m mindful of quiet hours and personal sleep schedules.
Looking for: a fully vaccinated roommate who is interested in cultivating a positive, clean, and respectful living environment. I would prefer someone who’s interested in staying on for the full 12-month lease. Most interested in someone who values and cares for the space, recognizes the importance of communication, and is open to sharing the occasional cup of tea or a meal together. Bonus points if you’re willing to brave keeping a few plants alive with me. (Fellow black thumbs, fear not. We can hold each other accountable for herbicide.)
Anyone applying will eventually be asked by the property manager to provide income verification and pass a background check. Security deposit can be split into multiple payments.
