Chelsea's room

Looking for a new roommate! The apartment is in a house in Friendship (basically between West Penn & Shadyside Hospitals) and occupies the entire third floor of the house. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. The kitchen and living room are both large. The apartment is pretty much fully furnished except for the 2nd bedroom - so this would be great for someone just moving into the city. The bedroom is decent sized - previous roommate had a queen sized bed and two dressers in the room. There is a storage area that will be shared and is connected to the second bedroom - both have doors.

Rent will be $1675, divided by two and all utilities are included except cable/internet. I currently have Fios, which would end up being less than $100.00 per person each month. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. The apartment does not have AC, but I have a window units in both of the bedrooms currently. The living room tends to stay pretty cool with the windows open since we get a nice breeze, but I’m not opposed to additional AC units since we don’t have to pay electric! Street parking, permits available for $20.00/year. The neighborhood is pretty quiet and walking distance to Bloomfield & Shadyside (and Lawrenceville if you don’t mind the big hill on the way back!). My lease starts August 1st, but the apartment would be available immediately.

Next tenant will need to complete the rental application and undergo a background check through our landlord.

About me - I work for Pitt, and we have kind of a hybrid work situation. I go into schools in the mornings and am usually working from home in the afternoons. I will be working remotely most of the summer and actually will spend a lot of that time back home with my family. My office is currently in the 2nd bedroom, but typically I work in the living room because it’s so large. I’m usually up pretty early in the mornings and I try to work out here in the apartment after I get up…and I’m usually in bed by 9 or 10 at the latest. I don’t mind others being up after me…I sleep with the AC and TV on, so I don’t hear much! I like to watch Bravo shows, work out and keep it pretty chill during the week. I like to watch TV while I eat my dinner. I do cook a lot as well. I like to check out different restaurants or hit up happy hour from time to time but I’m definitely not a ‘partier’. Someone who also works/is a student and will also keep it pretty chill during the week, is down to hang out/go out to eat, and doesn’t mind the DVR filled with Bravo shows would be a great fit!
