I have a 4000+ sq. ft. home in San Marcos with one available room to rent for June 1st occupancy. It is available for viewing by appointment only. Not ready to move in on the 1st? A June 15th move-in can also be considered. The room will be sanitized and disinfected prior to move-in. It is fully furnished and is priced at $1200. A security deposit of $1200 is required prior to move-in. I am within a 3-minute walking distance of Palomar College and a 5-minute drive time from CSUSM, St. Katherine, and St. Augustine. There is one dog and several kittens in the home, so no other cats or dogs are allowed. Both male and female tenants live here, so males and/or females are more than welcome. This space is for single occupancy only, which means no couples. Don’t ask because there are no exceptions to this restriction. The room is located downstairs and is the second-largest bedroom for rent in the house. There are two full bathrooms with showers, both of which are shared, and the upstairs bathroom has a tub, which is great for soaking after a long hard workout. One bath is located upstairs, and the other one is located downstairs. This room is huge! It has its own mini-fridge, ceiling fan, huge walk-in closet, dresser, nightstand, lamp, bed frame, flat-screen TV, and a queen-sized bed with a pillow-top mattress. For those who occasionally work remotely, there is also a desk and chair, but for those who work from home on an ongoing basis, you will be charged extra for utilities. You have direct access to your own private covered patio, and during the summer nights, you can welcome the cool breezes. The room has sustainable bamboo hardwood flooring that is welcoming to your bare feet and a newly installed area rug. The monthly rent includes all utilities (gas, electric, and water), laundry privileges, and Amazon Prime Video. The monthly rent also includes WiFi (Cox Ultimate Hi-speed Internet). It doesn’t get any better than this! Guests are welcome to visit, but in consideration of the other tenants, they will have to vacate the premises by 10 pm on weeknights and by midnight on weekends. No overnight guests or sleepovers are allowed since this is a single-family residence, not a hotel. There are plenty of hotels/motels in the surrounding area if needed or necessary to accommodate your overnight, long-term, or visiting guests. The monthly rent includes reserved parking in the driveway, even though there is plenty of on-street parking for your vehicle if you choose. If your car leaks oil or other fluids, you will not be allowed to park in the driveway and will have to park on the street.
There are no drugs, partying, or smoking (medicinal cannabis, cigars, cigarettes, vapes, or other smoking implements) or edibles allowed in or around the home. Still, if your cravings kick in, you are within walking distance of the community park, where you can puff until your heart’s content. Alcoholic beverages are allowed in your private space, such as your bedroom, but in consideration of others, they are not allowed in the common areas or within public view. While I am no Martha Stewart or OCD about cleanliness, I don’t want to live with slobs, tolerate strange body odors, or co-exist with someone who doesn’t pick up after themselves or is inconsiderate of others or their private space. If this is an issue for you or could remotely become one, please don’t apply since we are adults here and don’t want to play house monitor or babysitter. Lastly, we live in a drama-free environment. If there is drama in your life at the present moment, apply elsewhere because we all lead very active lives.
