About the room
One shared bedroom (2 available beds) is available for rent starting now! Viewings will be by appointment only starting, and the room will be ready for move-in once you pack your bags! If you’re a student needing a room before the new school semester begins, your search ends here! The space will be thoroughly sanitized before you move in. It is fully furnished and costs $850 per person in a two-person room. A security deposit of $850 is required before moving in. This location is perfect for college students and prospective students. I am just a 3-minute walk from Palomar College and a 5-minute drive from CSUSM, St. Katherine, and St. Augustine.
One dog and multiple kittens reside here, so no additional cats or dogs are permitted. Please refrain from asking, as requests will not be entertained and no exceptions will be made. Both male and female tenants reside here, so individuals of any gender are more than welcome. This space is designated for single occupancy in a shared bedroom, so couples and overnight guests are not allowed.
Located downstairs, the bedroom is the largest bedroom available for rent in the house. There are two shared full bathrooms, both equipped with showers, while the upstairs bathroom features a tub—perfect for relaxing after an intense workout. The room is spacious! It includes a mini-fridge for each person and a ceiling fan. The bedroom has a large wall-to-wall mirrored walk-in closet, nightstands, individual lamps, a mounted flat-screen TV, and a queen-sized bed with a pillow-top mattress per person, with storage underneath. You also have your own desk for studying or occasional remote work. However, please be aware that regular remote workers or those who work mostly from home will be charged extra for utilities. This bedroom affords you private access to your own covered patio, which is perfect for enjoying the cool summer breezes. The bedroom features sustainable bamboo hardwood flooring that feels inviting underfoot, complemented by a newly installed area rug. The monthly rent includes all utilities (gas, electric, and water), access to on-site laundry facilities, full kitchen privileges, Amazon Prime Video, and WiFi (Cox Ultimate High-speed Internet). This is the best deal you’ll find, especially when the surrounding areas cost twice as much!
Rather not share a bedroom with a stranger? You can go solo and rent the entire room for $1300 per month. All extra furnishings will be removed, and you can have the room all to yourself! If a second roommate moves in later, your rent will be reduced to $850 for a shared bedroom.
Your visitors and guests are welcome, but out of respect for other tenants, they must depart the home by 10 pm on weekdays and by midnight on weekends. Overnight guests and sleepovers are prohibited, as this is a single-family home, not a hotel. There are many hotels and motels in the surrounding area available to accommodate your overnight, long-term, or visiting guests if necessary. The monthly rent does not include reserved parking in the driveway; however, there is plenty of on-street parking available for your vehicle.
About the roomies
Drugs, partying, and smoking—including medicinal cannabis, cigars, cigarettes, vapes, and other smoking devices—are not permitted in or around the home. However, if cravings arise, you are just a short walk from the community park, where you can smoke to your heart’s content. You are permitted to have alcoholic beverages in your private areas, like your bedroom, but to be considerate of others, they should not be consumed in common spaces or visible to the public. Though I’m not a Martha Stewart or overly meticulous about cleanliness, we prefer not to live with slobs, endure unpleasant body odors, or share a space with someone who neglects to tidy up or shows disregard for others and their personal space. If this might be an issue for you, please refrain from applying. We’re all adults, and I would prefer not to take on the roles of house monitor or babysitter. Finally, we maintain a drama-free environment. If you’re experiencing drama right now, please consider applying elsewhere, as we all have very active lives.
