Room available for rent starting January 1st! The current tenant, a student, is leaving and going back home, and the room will be available on January 1st. The room will be thoroughly sanitized and disinfected, making it ready for move-in. It comes fully furnished and is priced at $1050. A security deposit of $1050 and a background check are required prior to moving in. The location is just a 3-minute walk from Palomar College and a 5-minute drive from CSUSM, St. Katherine, and St. Augustine. You can easily walk to the Sprinter station, which is near Palomar College. Please note that there is one dog and several foster cats in the home, so no additional pets are permitted. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this policy, so please do not ask.

We warmly welcome both male and female tenants to our home. Just a friendly note: our current female tenant mainly uses the upstairs shared bathroom, which is conveniently located near the available bedroom. Please remember, this room is intended for SINGLE occupancy only, so it’s perfect for individuals, but not for couples or those with dependent or visiting children.

The room is located upstairs, close to one of the two shared bathrooms and adjacent to the female tenant’s room. There are two full bathrooms available—one on each floor—both equipped with full showers. This room comes fully furnished, featuring a mini-fridge, a ceiling fan, a double closet, built-in storage beneath the bed, a dresser, a nightstand, a lamp, and a twin-sized bed with a pillow-top mattress and an air purifier. I prefer renting to someone with little or no furniture to avoid the need for storing my furnishings, which incurs extra costs for me which I am not willing to incur. The room features lovely ceramic tile flooring complemented by a new area rug that feels warm and inviting under your bare feet. Your monthly rent covers all utilities, including gas, electric, water, and WiFi (Cox Ultimate High-speed Internet), along with washer and dryer privileges and full kitchen access. You’re welcome to have guests over, but to ensure everyone enjoys their stay, we kindly ask that they leave by 10 pm on weeknights and midnight on weekends. Just a little reminder: no overnight guests or sleepovers are allowed. If any of your guests need a place to stay, there are plenty of cozy hotels and motels nearby to accommodate them nicely.

You’ll find that there’s plenty of on-street parking available, making it super easy to find a spot for your vehicle!

No drugs, edibles, partying, vaping, or smoking (medicinal or otherwise) are permitted in or around the home. While you can have alcoholic beverages in your private space, such as your bedroom, they are not allowed in the common areas out of respect for others. I may not be a cleanliness expert like Martha Stewart, but the adults living here prefer not to share their space with untidy individuals, tolerate unpleasant body odors, or deal with someone who neglects to clean up after themselves and shows a lack of consideration for others and their privacy. If this might be a problem for you, please do not apply. We enjoy our current environment and wish to avoid additional drama. A background check is required before moving in.

Both male and female tenants are welcome if you don’t mind sharing the bathrooms with others, either male or female. However, the upstairs bathroom, which is where the vacant room is located, is primarily used by the current female tenant.
