About the room
Looking for a roommate for a cozy first floor, two bedroom apartment starting April 1st. Definitely not haunted.
The basics:
-Rent: $600 for you ($1200 total) - Year long lease
-Utilities: Gas heat is included in rent, NO A/C (All rooms have ceiling fans that keep the place pretty cool, though). Comed + Comcast together are usually a pretty consistent $100/person.
-Laundry in basement, $1 for wash and $1 for dry.
-Brand new kitchen appliances and cabinets – including a dishwasher!
-Free, non-permit street parking and less than a block from 53-Pulaski, 76-Diversey and about a 10-15 minute walk to the Logan Square Blue Line and Milwaukee Ave. bus.
-Across the street from Kosciuszko Park which has an indoor swimming pool. Also next to a Golden Nugget, a brand new grocery store, and a brand new Binny’s.
-Landlord is super nice and lives nearby and is quick to respond to any issues.
-Pets: Cats are allowed (I would love if you had a cat..), Dogs MAY be negotiable but would have to ask landlord.
-Smell porch/room in the back of the apartment that we just threw our extra couch in. Would love to clean out and make into a cute little sunny smoking room.
-420 FRIENDLY (But no cigarettes inside!)
*No table and very few dishes. If you have these, that would be amazing!
Me: -28 year old feminist, stoner chick who works a 9-5-ish on the West Side for a clothing chain. -I’m into music, movies, TV, Snapchat, etc. I have friends over often but don’t spend a ton of time in common areas. -Occasionally have small get-togethers/parties but am super respectful of your schedule and preferences. Any ragers will be discussed in advance. -As mentioned before, super 420 friendly (non-negotiable) -To be honest, I’m not a very clean person but I at least try to keep common areas straightened. Definitely willing to work out chores and such.
You: -Any age, any gender – no preferences as long as you’re mature and respectful. -Your schedule isn’t too important either as long as you’re not making crazy amounts of noise when you leave or enter if not at “normal” hours -Please be employed and have means to pay rent and utilities on time every month -Landlord requests you fill out an application and pay 1st months rent and a security deposit upon signing (for a total of $1200) -Have a couple references from previous roommates. I’ve had some terrible luck with past roommates so I’m playing it safe this time. -Also– if you want to put the electric and/or internet in your name, that would be a huge, huge plus!
I am available to show the apartment most weeknights and weekends. Please email me to set up a time to come see the place. A link to your Facebook or other social media site would be preferred.
