It’s not just a furnished bedroom, it’s a share of a beautifully furnished and equipped home located in hilly, leafy Piedmont, just 10 miles east of San Francisco; and close to Berkeley, colleges; trendy shops and eateries. The San Francisco East Bay has consistently amazing sunny days, and nightfall brings gentle ocean air for great sleeping weather. We are a couple at retirement age who like to travel, leaving the house to roommates. In residence is a male in his early 30s working in bio-tech who spends free time working out and as a free-lance tutor. Seeking a roommate who likes a quiet life, is well-employed and financially secure; a person who is content, purposeful, and pleasant to get along with. You respect other's boundaries. You are tidy and keep common areas clean and well-ordered. Non-smoking household. This is a 2-story home that’s fully furnished with a well-equipped kitchen, family room, living room, and dining room on the main floor; and ground floor laundry room. Three bedrooms are on the second floor, and two share a hall bathroom with soaking tub and rainfall shower. The front bedroom is a sunny light-filled extra large (20’ x 12’) space with dual-paned windows and its own balcony overlooking rooftops. It has a new IKEA queen bed and wide-plank mahogany flooring and is furnished with a double dresser, closet, armoire, bedside table and lamp. The private balcony is 8' X 8' and perfect for morning coffee or reading at leisure. Bedding and linens provided. Cable access. Internet is included. Street parking. The utilities that are included are electricity, gas (heating, cooking, dryer); waste management; water and sewer. Contact me to apply. First and last month’s rent and security deposit for move-in.

I am an enthusiastic and energetic intern. I run on social support, so having good vibes at home is essential for me. I am also very committed to my internship. I consider myself as a deep, interesting and openminded person. I am a student from Utrecht University and I am already willing to flight to that wonderful part of the world at the end of October!
Hello! My name is Liam. I always clean up after myself, never am too loud (unless it's called for) and I am not reckless in other people's homes or with their belongings. About me: I'm an 18-year-old trans dude with attitude, and I would love to rent a room from you! If you'd prefer, I won't rhyme in front of you if it gets annoying. I accommodate all. I moved to the U.S. (more specifically the bay area in Ca) back in May from Ecuador. I'm well travelled for someone my age- I've lived in five countries in South and Central America for years (so I speak Spanish). I'm generally lighthearted and I joke about everything (but never if it would really mess someone's day up). I'm currently employed in a local restaurant in Oakland working in the kitchen and am trying to find a second and maybe third job, while on the side I am an amateur tattoo artist. I love everyone and everything, and accept people with an open mind. I am also a musician and love old school punk rock. I like bouncing around, as long as I have financial stability/security, I like to just go where the wind blows me. My pronouns (in case you're wondering) are 'he', 'him', and 'his' etc.
Hello! My name is Scott Sabol and I am a 24 year old recent college graduate and newly hired civil servant set to be working in the Social Security Administration’s Richmond, California Office. I am moving in from Akron, Ohio and am very excited to be moving to the Bay Area. I am laid back and easy to get along with. I enjoy pulling my weight around the house or apartment when it comes to cleaning and doing chores. I also would consider myself a person who keeps his room/area clean and organized. When I am not working, I enjoy reading, staying active, volunteering at animal shelters and hiking/exploring nature.
I am from the UK, most recently living and working in Stockholm. I will be working as a postdoctoral researcher in Astrophysics. I'd describe myself as easy going, positive, independent, tidy and respectful of other people's time and space. Also LGBT+ friendly and vegetarian (but have lived with meat eaters before). I like running, salsa, travelling, painting and speak fluent Spanish.
I am a single 27 year old man looking to find a comfortable and positive living environment. I work at Safeway. Not home often. I am a quiet person. I don't have pets or children but I don't not mind either. I am friendly and positive and I would make a great roommate for like minded individuals.
Hi! I just started a VISTA Lead position at the Public Health Institute in Oakland and looking to live closer to my site. I am a Bay Area native and grew up in the Richmond/El Sobrante area. A little bit about me: I graduated from UCSD in 2009 and was living on my own since I was 20. I can be a social butterfly at times because I love meeting people and getting to know different perspectives on life. I love to travel and for the last year visited 7 countries (volunteering or in an immersion program) while I was figuring out what I wanted my next steps in life to be. I love to read, listen to podcasts, music, and watch Netflix when I can. Outside hobbies include dancing, book clubs, and outings with friends. I love sipping on tea, a nice glass of wine every now and then, drinks for special occasions. I am mellow, talkative yet quiet sometimes when I or others need personal space. I have twin nieces I adore and I have a younger sister and brother-in-law who live in Oakland as well as an older sister who lives in Hercules. On the weekends I tend to hang out with family or friends in the area or find activities to attend outdoors. Non-smoker and no pets. I also want to let you know I am blind/visually impaired. I was not born blind but lost my sight when I was 25. It is a crazy story for another time. Despite the changes I’ve had to overcome I find myself lucky to have technology, opportunities, and to be able to live in the Bay Area where diversity and inclusion are big. I am independent and use adaptive techniques to travel, cook and clean, and live my daily life as anyone else. I am looking for roommates who are also open-minded, accepting, and who are not afraid to ask questions so we can learn from each other. I’ve spent the last couple of years taking classes at BCC and UC Berkeley. I was commuting to/from Richmond to San Leandro for my last position at La Clínica. I plan to apply to graduate school finally and I am interested in a Public Health and/or Social Welfare Masters. If you would like to know more please feel free to contact me, especially if you have any questions about my blindness. Many people wonder how I do the things I do until they get to know me and see me in action. I hope to hear from you to see if I am a good fit for the place.
I am a recent college graduate looking to move back to Oakland after finishing school in D.C. I was born and raised in Oakland, CA. I enjoying cooking, working out, great conversation and binge watching tv shows.
I am a quiet and clean person. I do not drink or smoke. I work in Oakland and like to spend time with my family on the weekends. I have lived in Oakland my entire life and love it. I would like to remain in this area. Looking for a long term rental.
am a single, professional female, graduate of UW-Madison with a BA in English. I am from Chicago originally. I am employed as a Childcare Provider outside the home and a Freelance Editor inside the home. I am a non-smoker, non-drug user, responsible, low-key, friendly, neat, clean and respectful person, hoping to find a similar housemate. I sing with the UC-Berkeley Alumni Chorus and enjoy movies, theater, music, going out to dinner and coffee/tea with friends, walking, and nature.
Hello there! I am a very friendly, quiet, courteous, respectful, tidy, dependable, and mindful person. As a roommate, I make sure to be very aware of my fellow housemates' wishes and concerns, personal space, time, and communications with me. I am a full time college student attending Cal State East Bay (in Hayward), actively looking for a part-time job that I would like to maintain for the duration of my studies if possible. That being said, I will most likely not be home very much during the weekdays, presumably coming home in the evenings, and when at home, I usually keep to myself and study. I do not smoke, and do not like to share an inhabitance with smokers. I also rarely drink, unless in trusted company, and almost never go out to party. My hobbies and interests include music--both performing and learning--and dance. I participate in many art-related events and groups both through my school community as well as outside of school. I do not have any pets, and would only be ok with a fellow housemate having a cat, so long as it wouldn't get into my personal space or shed. Aside from that, I enjoy meeting new people and learning about different cultures and art forms, and I always respect everyone. That being said, I would wish to be respected as well, as mutual mindfulness and respect creates for not only a healthy roommate/housemate situation, but also a friendly, relaxed, and safe one.
My name is Nicole Johnson and I am a full time and I currently work full time. I am from Long Beach, California but moved up here 2 years ago for school, I came by myself but have made a lot of friends and have a lot of family out here. I mostly just hang out with my friends in my free time and watch netflix. I love trying new things and look forward to getting to know my future roommates.
I am open-minded, easy-going and responsible. I love traveling, exploring and eating good food! I have been living in London for the past few years for college, but I am originally from California. Now I work in biotech.
Hey hey, i'm Phoebe. 26 year old nomad/artist, starting school to be a pastry chef. My hobbies are drawing, painting, making jewelry, writing, hiking, baking (in both senses of the word), cooking vegan food, and travelling. Born in Palo Alto but lived all over the world since then, and have been really fortunate to have some amazing flatmates along the way. 😁 As I will be staying in Oakland for at least 2 years to finish school, I would love to meet some chill, creative, laid back people here! 🎉 (Btw I checked the box for smoker but I don't smoke cigarettes just weed)
Calm, relaxed, enjoy peaceful environment. Am reflective, read a lot, and care to care. Keep clean. Educated - have studied art and science. Berkeley 25 yrs, NYC - 7 years. Only smoke minimally outside. Trader Joe’s, vegetarian, library.
Hi I’m wondering if the room was still available? My name is Bobby. I commute to Oakland for work and finally got fed up. I work nights at anheuser Busch down the street from the coliseum. A little about myself I’m 28 and married and have 2 boys. I would to talk more thru text or phone call.
I’m a barista full time. I write during my free time and I’m the works of starting a book. I’m guilty of binge watching my shows but I do like to go out and discover new things to do. A clean living space is a must for me, I’m not a neat freak but it has to be put together. I’m easygoing and love meeting new people. I’m easy to get along with, so no need to worry about drama from me :)
My fiance and I have been engaged for 6 months and are looking to save up for our own place. My job is in Oakland so I'll be very convenient to find a roommate near work. My family and I are very respectful and clean people we love to have fun and enjoy life with the company we keep, would love to meet some like-minded people, it's not only roommate with fake also build a friendship....
currently a trained chef, have worked in different restaurants of numurous cuisines and looking for a room within an aparetment complex just to lay my head through the hours I am not working. Very neat, well organised and respect boundaries.
I'm a consultant working in downtown SF so I'm frequently at work. I'm fairly easy going and tend to go with the flow on things. With that said, I love getting out of the house so it'd be fun to room with somebody who is interested in checking out the area and seeing what it has to offer. I'm fairly active and love sports, (I played baseball in college and love to play pick-up basketball). I would consider myself 7/10 in terms of cleanliness, so not really going freak out about a few dishes being left out, but really just prefer a livable common space. Additional perks include: I have a car and a PS4, I have a decent network of friends in the area already, I like going out on weekends but not in an obnoxious way and I'm pretty much always at work during the week. I'm happy to answer any additional questions if you got em!
Easy going, spend most the time working or outdoors. Don't drink or use drugs, but don't care what others do. Respect people and their privacy. Just looking for a comfortable spot to save money to get ahead. I do electrical work, and cook most my own meals. Single professional with no kids, and no drama. Christian life, but not perfect and open minded to how others live their life. Military Veteran.
I am a home body that enjoys spending time listening to music or watching my binge shows. We are semi quiet people..as quiet as u can be with my 13 month old son. I have a pitbull that we have had for almost 6 years. Actually there are 2 a boy and a girl. but realizing that its very hard to find a place to accept such a committment. so we are making arraingments for them both if needed. I am a clean person, my husband i joke is ocd. but its very possible. we are a muiltracial family that is the very opposite from first impressions..lol... never judge a book by its cover. we are very easy going just like to be straight up and honest from the gate so that there is no room for disagreements that could have been resolved by communications.
I'm a college student who works part-time and my boyfriend works full-time in the peninsula . Most of the time we're out and about enjoying beautiful California or working. We are quiet and peaceful couple who just want a room to lay down and relax along with our tiny pooch(dog). Occasionally I cook, very clean and don't mind cooking for other roomies.
Neat couple with a small dog, Bichon Frise 13 lb. She's a part time student and he works full time. Moving from NYC. Both non smoker, very quiet, friendly and respectful. We are looking to move anytime between June and August 2019.
