About the room
Available is the primary bedroom in a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom house on Austin’s East Side near MLK and 183. The room includes a private ensuite bathroom, walk-in closet, and monthly professional cleaning of both the bedroom and bathroom. The house is dog-friendly, includes a dog door with backyard access, and is ideal for someone looking for a comfortable home rather than just a place to sleep.
The house is about 12 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from downtown, and 13 minutes from East 6th. It’s also within walking distance of the YMCA, a golf course, and Southern Walnut Creek Trail, making it easy to bike, run, walk, or get outside without driving across town.
The home has plenty of shared space both indoors and out. There’s a furnished backyard set up for dinners, drinks, and hanging out, complete with an outdoor cooking area and some extra shed storage. The furnished front yard is another great spot for coffee, reading, or relaxing in the evenings. Inside, there’s a shared office, music, and game room that’s available to everyone in the house.
The vibe is friendly, respectful, and low-drama. We’re looking for someone who cleans up after themselves, treats shared spaces with care, and communicates openly. The house is queer-friendly, BIPOC-friendly, and welcoming to people from all backgrounds.

About the roomies
The household currently consists of two male working professionals who mostly work from home. One roommate lives in the converted garage room and generally keeps to himself. I own the home and split my time between here and helping out at my parents’ house. When I’m around, you’ll usually find me cooking, hanging out in the living room, working from home, or hosting friends for dinner, board games, or a casual get-together about once a week. My partner occasionally stays over, and applicants should be comfortable around dogs, as there is one resident dog and sometimes additional visiting dogs.
