About the room
The apartment is in a newer building (about 4 years old) and features central A/C and heating, in-unit washer and dryer, and an elevator. It gets tons of natural light, with large windows in both bedrooms and the living room, plus a spacious shared balcony.
The living room is already furnished with a TV, couch, and a folding dining table that can be tucked away to maximize space.
The bedroom dimensions are 9’8’’ x 10’11’’, each with their own closet and access to a shared balcony. The bedroom easily fits a full size bed (possibly a queen depending on your room layout). The bedroom photos shown are of my room, which has the same dimensions and layout as the available bedroom, and are provided as an example of how the space can be furnished.
The building also has a great rooftop with beautiful Manhattan skyline views.
The apartment is just a 5-minute walk to the 36th Avenue (N/W) station, and about a 12-minute walk to both Queens Plaza (E/R/F) and Queensboro Plaza (7/N/W), making commuting easy.
The neighborhood sits between Astoria and downtown Long Island City.
For groceries, both Key Foods and Smart LIC are about a 5-minute walk away, and Costco is only a 5-minute Uber (or about a 20-minute walk).
About the roomies
Hi! My name is Richmond. I’m a young professional who recently graduated from law school. I’ve lived in New York City for over three years and have been in this apartment for the past year.
I’m generally pretty neat and keep shared spaces clean. I also have a busy work schedule, so home is usually a quiet place for me. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games (Switch and Xbox), seeing Broadway shows, and reading.
