ArcHouse is an intentional community living in a 9-bedroom house in verdant North Berkeley. ArcHouse is a relatively new community that came together in the summer of 2021. We are creating a home that has a close-knit, dynamic, and friendly vibe. We are grad students, foodies, teachers, engineers, journalists, runners, climbers, travelers, and more! Our house is currently pet-free. We are currently 8: 4 women, 3 men, and 1 nonbinary person; 4 POC and 4 white people; 4 people born abroad, and all in our mid-late 20s / early 30s. Please reach out, and we can talk more and introduce everybody!
Rent includes utilities, internet + monthly professional cleaning of common spaces and bathrooms! Each housemate also contributes up to $150/month for shared groceries. The room is on the second floor, and available starting now. All nationalities, ethnicities, genders, ages, and orientations are encouraged to apply.
Location: a couple blocks east of the Cheeseboard block of Shattuck, with an abundance of coffee shops, grocery stores, and that cute tea garden. Weβre surrounded by trees, homes, and divinity schools. Itβs a short walk to Cal and a ~5 minute bike ride from downtown Berkeley BART (10 minutes on the way back because of hills.) Street parking is available, but youβll need to get a city permit.
Please message us if interested and we will direct you to a google form to get to know a little bit more about you and schedule an interview!
