About the room

Minutes from downtown and the University and Medical districts, my home is clean, quiet, welcoming, and very conveniently located just south of the corner of Arthur St and Celesta in South Perry.

The available south-facing studio comes with its own private, renovated kitchen. The large windows offer plenty of sunlight. The rooms are freshly painted, and have high ceilings. They share a renovated bathroom with a large, original tub. Washer/dryer available to all residents. Common spaces include the shared bathroom for upstairs tenants, shared entry, a back deck with a BBQ and a large front porch. Central AC and new furnace installed in 2022. There is plenty of free on-street parking available.

All rental spaces have been recently updated and furnished. They each have their own lock and key so they stay totally private for you during your stay.

In the home are two cats and a rescue dog, all of whom are friendly and very well cared for. The rental room doors lock if you prefer they stay out of your space. Unfortunately we are tapped out on critters so no other pets can stay at this time.

Rent is $850 which includes all utilities (no cable). A background check, $850 deposit, and proof of renters insurance also required. Renters insurance is very cheap and easy to find and covers you in the event something happens to the house. Lease is 6 or 12 months. Smoking is also not allowed on the property.

About the roomies

I’m a mental health professional in private practice in downtown Spokane. I’ve lived in this home since 2022 and occupy the downstairs level (other than the shared entry). The two studios are both upstairs as is the shared bathroom. I also enjoy spending lots of time outside hiking and climbing or doing yard work. I’m slowly transitioning the landscaping at my home to all low-water native plants.
Currently the north studio is rented to a gentleman who has been a long term tenant. He is quiet, kind, and respectful. He also works downtown and enjoys going to triva nights on his days off.
