My roomate and I are looking for a mid-to-late twenties female professional/graduate student to join our 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom historic 1920 rowhouse in the Mount Pleasant / Columbia Heights neighborhood starting July 1. An upstairs room is available at $1,250 / month with a lovely sunroom. Note that the room is not furnished. Utilities, including internet, are around $110 per person per month and the lease is 1 year with the option to renew.
The house: We have a historic home with original wood and charming details throughout. We are under a mile from the Columbia Heights Metro Station (Green Line, D5/5x, 12 mins walking), 1.5 miles from the Cleveland Park Metro Station (Red Line, 26 mins walking), and a 2 minute walk to the D6/X and C61 (Tenleytown) bus lines. There is great outdoor space, including a furnished patio off the kitchen. We are big gardeners! We are also very close to Rock Creek Park and are a short walk away from several trails. There are great local restaurants and businesses just down the street and grocery stores in Columbia Heights.
Our home: We aim to build a very intentional, clean home in a great area. We already have a decent amount of our furniture for common spaces but we are building up the house so we welcome any incoming roommate’s personal style and items. The common room with the most furniture need is the living room. We follow a strict cleaning schedule with shared guidelines for each chore that rotate weekly.

Who we are: We are both young working professionals and recent graduates from American University. We both love hosting dinner parties, chilling at home, and going on neighborhood walks!
