This is not a Sublease. I have already signed a lease, but I need a roommate, and the landlord allows me to add someone else to the lease. So the full rent is $1440 a month, but it’s a 2-bedroom, so we would be splitting it $720 each. Heat, water, gas, hot water, sewage, and Trash/recycling are all included in the rent. Electric and air conditioning are separate. I’ve visited the place, it’s very spacious, it has a nice sized living room, a kitchen, two large bedrooms, and a full bathroom. The previous tenant lived there for 10 years, so I take that as a sign that the landlords are good. I will upload some pictures of the place, but know that they are updating the lighting and the appliances. It’s in a nice neighborhood, it’s about a mile away from the Truax Campus. It’s right by a Chick-fil-A and some small shops. It does have off-street parking. I have a car and would like the parking spot, but we can hash it out on who gets it if you also have a car. It does have street parking too. According to the lease, they do not allow pets in this unit unless the landlord authorizes it.
I am a student at Madison Area Technical College in the electricity program. I’m 20 years old, I’m a lesbian, and I’m from Sheboygan, WI. As a roommate, I have been told I am cleaner than most. I don’t like leaving dishes in the sink or leaving a mess in the kitchen. I like to think I’m a pretty reasonable person. I don’t mind discussing issues. If I’m doing something that bugs you, I’d want to know because I’d really like to be friends with my roommate. I’d prefer a roommate who is either another student or just someone around my age. I don’t mind people who smoke weed, I used to do it myself, but I have since quit. I also don’t really mind people who vape, but cigarettes would definitely bug me.
