About the room
I’m looking for one roommate to share my 2BR/1BA condo in downtown Northampton. The space is comfortable, clean, extremely walkable, and best suited for someone who appreciates a peaceful home.
The Basics • Rent: $950/month • Utilities (wifi, trash, water, heat/AC) included • Available starting July 1 (some flexibility for the right person) • Lease: month-to-month • Unfurnished • Upfront costs: First month’s rent + security deposit (one month’s rent) • No broker fee
The Space • 2-bedroom, 1-bath condo • Free on-street parking (there’s always parking available out front) • Free laundry (in unit) • AC/heat via mini-splits • Dishwasher • Small shared yard • Unfinished basement with room for bikes, storage bins, etc. • The bedroom includes a private screened-in porch • No pets, sorry. I already have one (very friendly) dog. • I keep a small vegetable garden out back. You’re welcome to participate, or just help yourself to whatever’s growing. • I use Pedal People, so you must be conscientious of disposing of trash, recycling, and compost.
Location • The location is the biggest selling point - a walker’s/biker’s dream • Less than a 5-minute walk to downtown Northampton, restaurants, shopping, etc. • 10–15-minute walk to Smith College • Several bus lines within a 5–10-minute walk • Couple-minute-walk to the bike trail that runs throughout town
Who I’m Looking For, Ideally: • Older students or working professionals • Someone responsible and reasonably clean • Rent paid on time • Any/all smoking must be done outside • Respectful of shared spaces and close-quarters living • No couples or live-in SO’s. The space works well for two people. It does not work well for three.
If this sounds like a good fit, send me a message and tell me a little about yourself. I’m also happy to answer any/all questions. Thanks!
