About the room
The apartment is on the second floor and is conveniently located near the trash chute, stairs, and elevator. The shared spaces, including the living room and kitchen, are already furnished, so you would only need to furnish your bedroom. You’ll have your own private bedroom and bathroom, plus a parking pass for the private lot. Washer and dryer in unit. One of the things I’ve really liked about living here is how quiet it is. Since there’s no apartment below us, we have concrete beneath our flooring, which helps reduce noise. The walls are also not thin at all. I never hear the neighbors next door, and I only occasionally hear the upstairs neighbors. The complex has a clubhouse and a private parking lot and is relatively small, with fewer than 50 apartments, which makes it feel much quieter and less crowded than larger complexes. Everyone pretty much keeps to themselves and respects each other’s space. I’ve never had any issues with packages being left outside the apartment door or in the mail area, and they’ve always been safe. Water and internet are included in the rent, so the only additional utility is electricity. My portion of the electric bill has averaged about $60 per month.
About the roomies
I’m a 23 year old graduate student at Norfolk State University and will be graduating with my master’s in social work in 2027. I’m clean, respectful, and easy to live with. I respect other people’s space, belongings, and privacy, and I would expect the same in return. Whether you’re looking to be friends or just keep things strictly roommate based, I’m completely fine with either. My main priority is having a good roommate relationship built on communication, consideration, and mutual respect in our shared spaces. I don’t mind having guests over, and I understand that you will occasionally have guests as well. As long as there is open communication and respect for one another, I’m pretty flexible. Ultimately, I’m just looking for someone who is responsible, respectful, and willing to maintain a comfortable living environment for both of us.
