About the room
Hello! We have a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment with 3 people currently residing in it. 2 of us are currently prepping to move out of the larger bedroom (apologies for the cluttered pictures) by the end of July. Our other roommate would like to stay in the apartment, so we are looking to interview for potential renters to take over our lease (we are currently month to month) to rent the larger room. Our property managers will handle all the necessary income/credit checks if we proceed.
As only 2 of us plan to vacate the lease (as we are a couple), we are looking for serious applicants to apply with the assistance of our property managers (AG Davi) and take over the lease starting August 1st. We are happy to start interviewing as soon as possible to make sure to get all applications complete and ducks in a row.
Some info:
- Potential tenants will have the larger bedroom available to them, while current roommate will have the other.
- Rent is $2350/month due between the 1st and 5th of each month, split between tenants. ~$800/month between 3 tenants.
- Water and garbage services included in rent.
- Internet options: AT&T or Comcast
- PG&E averages to about $120/month for 3 people (you will have to get PG&E through yourselves as it is currently in my name).
- Some furniture is included if you want it! We canβt take all furniture with us when we move, so the bedframe, TV stand, couch, armchair, hutch, and a desk are available to stay if wanted.
- There is a balcony with sliding glass door.
- Cats are okay! Roommate has one cat that gets along with others fine.
- Complete kitchen access with some furnishings.
- Single bathroom shared between roommate and potential renters.
- Current roommate is attending school and keeps mostly to themselves, so you will have a majority use of the common area and kitchen. They do not have a car, so you will have access to the single carport as well as a single off-street parking spot (maximum 2 cars).
We truly hope to have some good applicants, especially couples! We know housing is hard to come by and we want to do this by the book, all while helping our friend/roommate have a safe space to continue their studies. Please feel free to reach out to me for any more information or questions and we hope to hear from you soon!
About the roomies
Our friend and roommate is currently attending school in Salinas. They are able to cover a third of the rent, plus their portion of the utilities. They have one cat that gets along well enough with our two cats, so that shouldnβt be an issue (less so with dogs). They are a homebody and keep mostly to themselves, but they are easy to talk to and just a text or door knock away.
