About the room
Available is a large bedroom on the second floor of a new, well-maintained home in Somerville. The room includes built-in closets and is paired with a separate private office - also generously sized and with additional closet space - making it an ideal setup for working from home.
You’ll also have your own private bathroom, located directly next to both your bedroom and office. All three spaces are adjacent, giving you a semi-private section of the house. Sound insulation is solid, and the layout allows for a good amount of privacy when doors are closed.
House Layout & Features:
The house is spacious and spread across multiple levels, making it easy for everyone to have their own space: • Basement: Storage space, plus a separate bedroom, bathroom, and office occupied by another tenant • Main floor: Living room, kitchen, and a half bathroom • Second floor (your level): Two bedrooms, your private bathroom, your office, and laundry (located just outside the rooms) • Third floor: Second living area with a wet bar that opens onto a rooftop deck
There are 4.5 bathrooms total, so shared bathroom traffic is minimal.
Additional perks: • Laundry located conveniently on your floor • Plenty of basement storage • Dedicated outdoor bike storage area
Location & Neighborhood:
Located on a quiet, one-way residential street right next to Lincoln Park, the area is peaceful while still being close to everything Somerville and nearby Boston have to offer.
Living Environment:
The house is large enough that everyone has their own space and privacy. One tenant currently uses part of the third floor as a work-from-home setup, while others keep to their own designated areas.
Overall, it’s a calm, respectful living environment - well-suited for someone who values both privacy and a comfortable shared home.
About the roomies
We’re two guys, 30 and 31. Both working professionals, and working from home most days of the week. We’re childhood friends that both ended up in the Boston area. My roommate first moved to Boston to attend law school at BU, and I moved here a couple of years ago.
