About the room
This room is on the second floor of a cute, sunny little 3br 4ba duplex near City Park. Currently, two people live in the house. We’re permitted to have four total residents. The house has a porch, front yard, shared backyard with a raised garden bed, and plenty of bus access and street parking. The neighborhood is walkable and beautiful. It’s a 15 minute stroll from the Whittier Cafe while being close to major streets like York and Colorado. The Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the Zoo are right around the corner, and the Botanic Gardens, 16th Street Mall, and Art Museum aren’t far away.
The upstairs bedroom for rent has a shared bathroom, but we’re open to whoever takes that bedroom claiming the ground floor bathroom as their personal bathroom. The house basement is also open for renting.
About the roomies
Samir (me) and Babs (my longtime friend and roommate), currently live on the property. There’s also a loving, chatty indoor tabby named Anise, so being cat friendly is a must. (No other pets are permitted - sorry!). Both Babs and I are full-time employees at a cultural institution and communicative ~30 year old adults. We talk out house issues and pay rent on time. We’re also both queer artists. Babs is an alternative drag performer, and I make mixed media fiber art.
Babs and I are social people that also value our own personal space. Neither she nor I party, but we occasionally bring over friends and partners for hang-outs. If you like horror movie nights, thrifting, plant-keeping, collaborating on home decor, and communal cooking in a relaxed, responsible home, we’ll probably be a good fit!
