About the room
Built in 1906, Quebec House is a brick bungalow with a story — brought back to life by an owner who cares deeply about preserving old buildings. The downstairs suite has two bedrooms, a living room, and a private ensuite bathroom. Each bedroom has a built-in dresser, a closet, and built-in bookshelves. The living room has a built-in bookcase and a glass-doored cabinet — and can come furnished or unfurnished. It’s a space that was finished with intention.
The kitchen upstairs is shared, and the main floor is the owner’s personal space — though you’re welcome to move through it freely, eat at the dining table, or settle in when it’s quiet. The owner lives upstairs with two dogs and will occasionally pass through the downstairs living room to reach the shared laundry room.
This is a basement rental in a home that has been loved back into itself. If that sounds like somewhere you’d want to be, let’s talk.
About the roomies
I’ve lived in this house for over a decade and put serious work into making it a home worth living in — including the space downstairs. I work in historic preservation, host a few friends on Friday evenings and the occasional dinner party, and tend to keep the house in good order. I’m not looking for a best friend, but I’m not looking for a stranger either. I’m easy to talk to, respectful of your space, and expect the same in return. I have two friendly dogs who are part of the household too. If you’re someone who appreciates a home with history and wants to live somewhere that actually feels like somewhere, we’ll get along just fine.
