About the room
My room in my apartment is coming up for rent. Rent would be $650 plus utilities and a year lease (unless a roommate release form is signed and you have someone take over your part of the lease). You will need to be able to prove your income to the apartment complex.
There’s a hot tub, pool, and gym. It’s on the top floor of a 3 story apartment building (3 sets of stairs, 38 steps with bilateral hand rails). Being on the top floor, it has vaulted ceilings, and there’s no one above you, so it feels really big. The windows and balcony are north-facing, so the place stays cooler in the summer.
Located on Yelm highway. 5 minutes from Safeway, QFC, and several food, drink, and grocery places. 10 minutes from the East Side co-op and 15 minutes from downtown. Has trees, and nice landscaping. LBA park is within walking distance (takes about 20m to walk to) and it’s heavily wooded. About the room: Middle room in the hall, has a bay window and large closet.
Preferably, no additional pets, but one cat may be okay, will be decided on case by case basis.
About the roomies
You’d have 2 roommates and they will want to meet/interview you to ensure a good fit before you move in. Their bios are below:
“Eli (they/them), age about 25. Moved here last year from Colorado. Works at a café, into herbalism, video games, and gardening. They cook a lot and enjoy some often communal meals. You would share a large bathroom with them. They have no pets.”
“Hi I’m Fae (she/they), I’m 30 years old, I currently work in a driving school, and I’m mostly introverted. My extrovertedness comes out when I go to EDM shows and music festivals. I spend my downtime at home with my kitten Shiloh (soon to get a second kitten in July), watching tv, making crafts for the raves I go to, and being outside with friends. I keep my partying outside of the house so I prefer my home to be relatively quiet. I have food issues so you won’t see me cooking often. I have the master room with my own bathroom so you’ll share the other bathroom with one person. There’s tons of storage space in the apartment like a huge pantry and a patio with a closet for our camping stuff!”
They are both pretty clean, and we haven’t had any chore-sharing, financial, or cleanliness issues. 420 friendly, queer household.
