About the roomies
Ideally we are looking for someone who wants to collaborate and live intentionally and in community with others. Queer and strange preferred. 420 Friendly, but not a party home. This is a neurospicy home, so we hate overhead lights and thrive in quiet parallel time, but enjoy having friends and small gatherings in our space. We want someone who shares in the desire to create, express, learn and grow.
A willingness to communicate is priority to respectand hold boundaries. We like to keep the space regularly cleaned and organized; sharing household chores and maybe even a meal here and there. We are both sensitive creatures so we desire to be mindful of using clean and eco friendly products in the home to avoid harsh chemicals and smells. The yard is abundant and lush, so experience in caring for a yard, or at least a willingness to pitch in is helpful.
Jacqua (they/them) age 29; a hairstylist of 9 years, pole dancer and creative, concert go-er, alt, goth clown and spiritual witch. Caretaker to Roman the cat and Kenny the pied-ball python. When not working, I’m pouring into myself, loved ones and the community or outdoors, moving, adventuring, reading, or creating. I also cook fairly often Constantly striving to learn new things, grow and heal. I appreciate my solo and quiet time in a cozy, clean home space.
Ellen 31, they/them, reptile parent. Sober curious, queer in every essence, ambivert to the core. Creative crafty nerd with a tad more than a touch of adhd. I work Wed - Sun from 7a-10p with a break mid day. If I’m not at Horsetooth or an event then I’ll likely be home recharging. I work in non-medical care, caring for the home and needs of others. How a home is kept in balance is important to me. I treat where I live as a shared sanctuary. My values within a home are safety, respect, boundaries, honest transparent communication, tidy shared spaces, consideration and kindness. I care to be mindful of noise however I require that the home supports the freedom to express freely with respect for those sharing the space. I’m community-oriented and choose to hold space for that in my home with respect and boundaries to those I share it with. I am understanding, emotionally intelligent in training, reliable but ditzy at times and genuinely am invested in co-creating a living space that feels peaceful and supports growth and healing.
