I’m John, the homeowner. I work remotely and am home most days, but I respect everyone’s space and privacy. I’m friendly and easy to talk to — witty and highly educated — but I keep to myself and won’t be in your business.

I’m a professionally trained cook and enjoy making dinner, which I’m happy to share. Outside of work, I spend my time reading, staying in touch with friends and family, and continuing my professional education.

I recently lost my wife (November 2025) and am managing the home solo. I run a calm, quiet household and that’s the environment I’m looking to maintain.

Also in the home: Jack, my cat. He’s extremely mellow and easy to be around.

Household is 100% drug, alcohol, and smoke-free.

You’ll also be living with Maven, 22 — John’s stepson. He’s quiet, introverted, and keeps mostly to himself. When he’s not at work, you’ll find him in his room gaming. He’s not the type to be in your space or make a lot of noise, but he’s genuinely friendly and courteous when your paths cross.

He also has a cat named Larry, who fits right in with the calm vibe of the house.

Like the rest of the household, Maven is drug, alcohol, and smoke-free.
