About the room
Hi! We are looking for 2-3 roommates (individuals or couples welcome!) to join our 4BR Bronzeville home starting June 1st (or earlier). We just got the place and are still in the process of fixing it room by room. So far two rooms are done and have a roommate and the 3rd room is almost done. We are looking for a roommate for that room. If you want to do a tour please reach out. The Space: Multiple upstairs rooms available, fully furnished with queen or Full beds and desks with chair. The layout offers great privacy-the bedrooms and full bath are upstairs, while the shared main level features a remodeled chef’s kitchen with a huge island, stainless steel appliances, and a wine fridge.
The Neighborhood: Located in historic Bronzeville, just a 2-minute walk from the Indiana Green Line. We’re close to Mariano’s and the lakefront. It’s a quiet, residential area with easy access to downtown.
The Vibe: We are very quiet, low-key people. We mostly keep to ourselves-cooking or watching TV in our rooms. Our other roommate is also very quiet. We’re happy to get to know you, but we really value a peaceful, respectful home environment. And wont mind having someone we can connect with. I believe connection makes a great environment.
House Rules: Price: $1,100 rent + $40 flat fee for utilities (not including the internet high-speed internet 1gig). Total with internet is 1200. Utilities is high and I want to remain partial, water and sewer bill came at 900 last month 100% serous can show the bill it just those two and we have been very good about not over using it. When we add up everything else utilities is just way too much. So we would appreciate the help with not letting these Utilities ran unnecessarily.
Quiet Hours: 11 PM - 9:30 AM. We ask that noise be kept to a minimum during these times. Respect: We value everyone’s need for quiet and personal space.
Parking: Free street parking is a 3-5 minute walk away. We can provide daily permits for the street directly in front for $40/month, subject to city availability limits, but the difference is only by a few minutes so i would recommend the free one.

About the roomies
We live in the downstairs suite. I am a UIC student and in the military, so I am occasionally away, but when I’m home I’m usually working on my art or planning travels, or we are binge watching tv. My husband is the more social one and loves to cook when he isn’t at work.
The upstairs area has a very private feel. The current roommate there works late hours and is extremely quiet and keep-to-himself. The other roommate works full time, and she is very quite. We are looking for people who share that same respect for a peaceful home-we’re a ‘home is for recharging’ kind of household!
