Hi everyone. We are looking to sublet one big beautiful room in our house in Shelburne beginning 6/1/26. Rent is $1000. Utilities would be somewhere between $50 to $150 a month, then an additional $100 for water every 3 months. It is a 3 month to 1 year lease, with potential to renew on 6/1/2027 for the right fit.

About our place: we live in a big ol’ condo in Shelburne off Route 7. 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 1900sqft, with a porch, shared yard, laundry in the house, brand new dishwasher, and a 2-car garage with plenty of storage! You would have the big room, that has 2 closets, and its own bathroom. It’s light, spacious, and very sunny. We have two cats, who are very sweet! We would consider other pets with adequate conversation. We have a convenience store just down the road and are right on the bus line. It’s a 10-minute drive/bus ride from downtown Burlington. I really like it here because we have easy access to lots of trails, are a few miles from Shelburne Farms, but also have all the amenities within a 5 minute drive as well. There is a driveway with room for one more car and plenty of off-street parking as well.

A little bit about us: You’d be living with me (Alina she/they) and my partner, Evan (they/them), and our two cats (who are super cute)! Evan and I are nerdy, chill, reasonably clean people who spend a lot of time at home working on projects, playing video games, and making food! We are both in our late 30s, millennials, queer, and poly. I work full time+ as a Medical Courier, and Evan works from home in Computer Engineering/Research. We both have additional partners and friends that come and stay frequently but are quiet and respectful, including my girlfriend’s dog who stays a couple days per week. We have lived here for 5+ years, and are hoping to spend another 2 years here.

We are 420-friendly, and only drink on occasion. Our quiet hours are generally midnight to 8 am, but we will have an occasional small gathering. We keep a very clean house, but are busy people, so we often don’t get to cleaning until the weekends. We would like someone who cleans up after themselves, and who will consistently pitch in to bigger house cleaning projects, such as sweeping the floors, dusting the shelves, taking out the trash, etc.
