Private bedroom with its own full private bathroom in a newer single-family home in Stephens City (22655). You essentially get half the house. The room is bright and carpeted, with neutral walls, a large window with blinds, a good closet, and its own central heat and air vent. It is unfurnished, but there is already a dresser and a TV in there you are welcome to use. Your private bath has a full tub and shower and a granite-top vanity, yours alone, not shared.

You will share the open-concept great room and a modern kitchen with granite counters and an island, stainless appliances (gas range, French-door fridge), and luxury-vinyl-plank floors. Off-street parking is included, a two-car garage or the driveway. The home is in a quiet, newer subdivision with sidewalks, community green space, and a dog-friendly walking area, and the backyard backs onto an open field with no rear neighbors. Easy access to I-81, Winchester and Valley Health, Shenandoah University, and Navy Federal.

Rent is $1,000/month plus a share of the utilities (electric, water, gas, internet, trash). Non-smoking indoors. Available now, flexible month-to-month.

I work from home full-time as a software developer, so it is a quiet, low-traffic house during the day. I have two small, friendly dogs (cockachons, about 20 lbs each) who love people and other animals, so being comfortable around dogs is a must. I am looking for a respectful, tidy, quiet housemate, ideally a working professional or grad student who wants a nice, low-drama place to call home.
