===================================== My nonbinary teen and I live on the top floor of a duplex in a mostly quiet neighborhood. We are looking for a roommate to help share the cost of rent. I would be happy to rent to a student or professional. We are LGBTQ and BIPOC friendly.
I am an artist and adjunct professor. My hours vary and sometimes I work from home. The child is in 7th grade and stays in their room most of the time. We get along well, so there isn’t a lot of drama. I board animals on occasion so you have to be okay with dogs and possibly cats staying for short periods at a time.
About the roomies
The landlord lives in the apt. below us, they are very nice people. You might be able to negotiate a parking space in the driveway if you have a car. The subway (Q and B lines) run right behind the house and we’re only a block away from the Kings Highway platform. We are close to the beach (Brighten or Coney Island), a bike path (Ocean Parkway), and Brooklyn College.
