Jeannette's room
About the room
You notice the quiet first. Then you notice how close everything actually is shopping, transport, all of it within easy reach and you realise the two things aren’t in conflict here, they simply coexist. The neighbourhood has figured something out that most can’t manage. The room operates on the same principle: private bathroom, fully self-contained, no shared infrastructure, just clean independent living. It grows on you without trying. That’s probably the best endorsement there is.
About the roomies
Credit where it’s due this household runs well because of who’s in it. A glacial geomorphologist and a senior insurance underwriter, each settled into their own room, each carrying a life that doesn’t impose itself on the other’s. The cleanliness and calm here feel earned rather than enforced. We’d welcome a third person who brings that same low-maintenance, considerate energy someone tidy, grounded, and genuinely at ease in a home that prizes its quietude.
