Short walk to the mall. Shorter walk to the bus stop. That’s the easy part. What’s harder to quantify is the neighbourhood itself that particular quality of calm that some streets just have, where the pace drops and the air feels different and you stop checking your phone without meaning to. The room is fully independent: private bathroom, no shared anything, genuinely detached from the rest of the household. Convenience and quiet, no trade-off required.

Occupying this house alongside each other are a wildfire ecologist and a senior actuary two people whose working lives demand enough mental energy that home has become something of a sanctuary by necessity. Each of us has a separate room, a self-contained routine, and zero interest in a chaotic household. The place stays clean and settled as a direct result. We’d genuinely welcome someone who shares that instinct considerate, tidy, and comfortable letting a peaceful home stay that way.
