About the roomies
About Me (Your Host) • I’m 56, a mother of a 33‑year‑old teacher, and a soon‑to‑be grandmother. • I’ve worked at UMBC for over 30 years, with deep roots in the campus community. • I run a quiet, respectful, well‑maintained home that supports students, researchers, and visiting scholars who need stability and peace. • I’m direct, professional, warm, and always reachable for anything my tenants need. About My Partner • He is 58, a father of four adult children and grandfather to two. • He works on the road, so he is rarely home. • We are both quiet, friendly, and you will hardly see us — ideal for tenants who value privacy and calm. Current Household • The master‑suite tenant has lived here for 1.5 years. • She works at UMBC after completing her Master’s degree. • She is quiet, respectful, and contributes to the stable, peaceful environment of the home. Tenant History Your home has a long, consistent history of hosting female UMBC students, researchers, and visiting scholars: • A current tenant is a UMBC senior who has lived here for two years and will graduate in May. • Another is an international visiting researcher on a short‑term UMBC assignment, also moving out at the end of May. • Prior tenants include:• A senior undergraduate • A Master’s program student • Both lived in the home back‑to‑back before the current tenants • All tenants have been female, academically focused, respectful, and successful in the home. What This Means for New Tenants • The home is quiet, safe, clean, and student‑friendly. • The environment is ideal for studying, resting, and working. • The household is stable, predictable, and well‑managed. • Tenants benefit from a host who understands UMBC schedules, work loads, and campus life.
