About the roomies
We are a quiet, stable, UMBC‑connected household with a long history of hosting female students, researchers, and visiting scholars.
About Me: • I’m a 56‑year‑old mother of a 33‑year‑old teacher and a soon‑to‑be grandmother. • I am a second‑generation administrator at UMBC and have worked on campus for over 30 years. • I was raised in this neighborhood and grew up right next to UMBC, so I know the area, the campus culture, and the community extremely well. • I run a calm, respectful, and well‑maintained home that’s ideal for focused students and professionals.
About My Partner: • He is 58, a father of four adult children and grandfather to two. • He works on the road, so he is rarely home. • We are both quiet, friendly, and you will hardly see us — perfect for tenants who value peace and privacy.
Current Household: • Our master‑suite tenant has lived here for 1.5 years and also works at UMBC after completing her Master’s degree. • She is quiet, respectful, and contributes to the calm environment we maintain.
Tenant History: We have a strong, consistent history of hosting UMBC students and researchers: • One current tenant is a UMBC senior who has lived here for two years and will graduate in May. • Another is an international visiting researcher on a short‑term UMBC assignment, also moving out at the end of May. • Prior tenants include a senior undergraduate and a Master’s student, both of whom lived here back‑to‑back.
Our home is known for being safe, clean, quiet, and student‑friendly, with long‑term stability and a respectful atmosphere.
