The world’s most adorable room available for rent starting June 1st. (photos will be added of it unfurnished after 4/23) This petite room can be unfurnished if you have your own bed, or furnished or with a bed if needed. Otherwise it’s equipped with a full wall of built-in closets/storage/drawers and small desk. 2 walls in the room are huge windows looking into the backyard. Optionally, I can turn that room into the guest space and you could rent the larger basement room. The house is 100% fully equipped with everything you might need - full kitchen with gas stove and dishwasher, central heat and AC, storage in the basement, guest space in the basement, huge garden, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 8 chickens in the backyard. Ideally you work outside of the home, but that’s not a deal breaker. You must love animals, be ok with dog hair on your stuff, and it would be super amazing if you were into occasional care-taking if needed. Ultra bonus if you also like gardening and cooking. I would prefer no smoking, 420 or drug use of any kind in the house (ex had substance abuse issues and I want that out of my life), drinking I am totally fine with as long as you don’t pilfer my bar cabinet!

About the roomies

I live in the house alone after a divorce and have been here almost 5 years. There is a super nice couple that lives in the apartment upstairs and they have been here almost as long as I have. The landlord has an ADU in a separate yard space at the back of the property - he is in town maybe 4-6 weeks per year. As the tenants of the main floor unit, we have 100% of the benefits of living in a big old house without the massive price tag. The apartment is about 1200 square feet, 2 bed and 1 bath, a 3rd, non-conforming bedroom in the basement. About me - I am a 43 year old female trying to get my life back in order after a mostly amicable divorce. I work in spirit sales, so I am regularly working from home as well as from my car on the road. I also drive to work on-site about an hour away 2 days per week. I am an avid gardener and I pride myself on the quality and quantity of vegetables and flowers I grow. I am also actively turning a lot the outdoor space into pollinator promoting areas. I am also a great cook/baker, eat everything (including meat - this is not a vegan or gluten free house), bake my own levain bread, make cultured butter, invent new cookie flavors on the regular, and love sharing. The 2 dogs are: Buddy - a senior (13.5) black lab mix and Miss Daisy - a 7 year old coonhound (she climbs trees). The queen of the house is Sox - an almost 12 year old tiny tuxedo cat (she goes outside during daylight hours). The 8 feathered girls in the backyard are great egg layers and also funny as hell.
