•1 bedroom available in a large 2 bedroom apartment.

•Current tenant (me) is a 34 year-old filmmaker / woodworker. I got my Masters degree in Directing from the American Film Institute (AFI).

•Seeking a male roommate anywhere from their late 20s to late 30s.

•The bedroom is large- 14’x14’, room enough for any sized bed, a wardrobe or dresser, and a full-sized desk. It also has a large, borderline walk-in closet.

•Has an in-unit washer and dryer.

•Unfortunately, no pets allowed (landlord’s rule, not mine, sad).

•The apartment is centrally located between Silver Lake, Los Feliz, Koreatown, Downtown and Hollywood.

•The apartment is on the second floor of a four-unit house, every wall is lined with windows which brings in a ton of natural light and keeps it breezy throughout the day and night. 1920s Spanish-style architecture, hardwood floors, open floor plan, large bedrooms, and a roomy shared bathroom.

•There’s a mid-sized backyard with a patio, sitting area, and a lemon tree.

•There’s a one-car garage but it’s used by the current tenant who pays extra for it, but it is available for storage if you have a bike or other large objects (within reason).

•The apartment is fully furnished aside from the open bedroom– additional common-area furniture is not necessary.

•The landlord pays for the gardener who keeps the front and backyard neat and beautiful.

My name is Austin, I’m 34 years old, I’m from suburban Boston and I’m a filmmaker / woodworker. I graduated from the American Film Institute as a Director and currently maintain a day job at a woodshop. I’ve lived in the apartment for 8 years so it is very much home– I’m clean, orderly and respectful, and I like to keep the house nice. My previous roommate and I lived together for 5 years and he recently moved out for a girlfriend. There are 3 other units in the house and everyone is super chill. I have a ton of plants and I feed the birds. When I’m not at the woodshop, I’m at home writing or taking meetings. Other than film and wood, my next biggest passion is sports– I’m a diehard Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics & Bruins fan. Other passions– New Orleans jazz, golf, family, beer.

•All I ask in a roommate is someone who’s chill, clean and respectful; respect is all the matters at the end of the day.
