About the room
I am a masterβs student transferring back to my hometown, which is why my private room is becoming available starting May 1st. This is a lease takeover covering May through July 31 ( 3 months), taking over the remainder of my current lease. There may be an opportunity to extend beyond September, subject to landlord approval. The monthly rent is $900, with a $900 security deposit required. Rent is due on the 1st of each month, and late payments may result in additional fees as outlined in the lease. The security deposit cannot be used as last monthβs rent.
All roommates share responsibility for maintaining a clean and respectful home. We clean dishes immediately after use, follow designated chore assignments, and coordinate a monthly deep cleaning of common areas. We also split the cost of drinking water jugs, which average about $15 per refill, divided among roommates (approximately $3 - 4 per person).
Guests are welcome; however, stays longer than 14 days require landlord approval. No pets are allowed without written landlord consent. Smoking is not permitted inside the home or in common areas in accordance with the lease. Alcohol is allowed responsibly. Subletting or further assignment requires landlord approval. Tenants may also be responsible for proportional utilities as applicable. Renterβs insurance is recommended.
